Instantly, all the memories of abuse and terror came flooding back to me. I felt my face turn pale as I realized that the one man who hurt me the most, was back. He manipulated me, taking advantage of my own innocence, and using it for his own benefit. He pretended to be the one boy always at my side, though really, he was the one doing the harm. When I looked into those very blue eyes that first drew me in, I saw nothing but humor and amusement. This bastard ruined me, and I was not about to let him get the best of me again.
I straigtened up and wiped the look of misery off my face, replacing it with cold, wary eyes. "What the hell are you doing here?" I snarled, not even bothering to hide the venom dripping from my voice.
Lucas raised an eyebrow and folded his arms across his chest. "I wanted to see you!"
"Well, I don't." I snapped, hatred detectable in my tone.
"Aw, don't be like that." He purred, starting to step closer, "I know you still feel something for me."
I shuddered at the thought and stood my ground, despite the warning signals my brain was giving out. "No. I've moved on." I blurted out before realizing what I was saying, yet again. I bit my lip in regret, knowing that he knew me well enough to tell I was lying.
Luckily, that caught is attention, and he froze. "Oh, really?" Sarcasm was evident in his tone, "Does he hold you like I did? Does he kiss you when your hurt like I did?"
"The hell you did. He's even better. I love him." I snapped. It angered me that he tried acting innocent, like I was the one who was wrong.
He let out a chuckle. "Lovely fairytale. Now, who is this boy?"
My eyes widened and my heart began to accelerate. Now this, right here, was the question I was trying to avoid.
"Oi, Madison!" I heard that familiar voice call from a couple blocks down.
Oh, shit. Please don't come here!
Lucas strained his neck and I turned to see Pablo running up to me with a look of concern spread all over his arrogant self. When he caught up to me, I couldn't help but appreciate the warmth Pablo's body gave off as he stood next to me, Lucas facing us. I noticed that his fists were clenched into balls, which made me smile.
"Who's this sweetpea?" Pablo murmmered in my ear.
I looked up at him, not wanting to answer his question, when I thought of the most brilliant plan since I saw Lucas. Hopefully, Pablo went along with it...
I saw some sort of emotion flash across Pablo's face before I grabbed the necklace on his neck and tugged his lips to mine. To my surprise, Pablo recovered quite quickly and kissed me back, with more control and want. He brought his hands to the small of my waist and pulled me even closer into him--so close, that I could feel the heat of his body and the pumping of his heart. I wanted to pull away to see Lucas's face, but I found myself enjoying it. His mouth was so warm on my trembling lips, and the caress of his lips were soft and gentle. I slowly wrapped my arms around his neck, as he deepened the kiss, sliding his tongue tentively against my own lips. I felt a low moan escape as I opened my mouth and deeped his kiss. Wait, WHAT? Oh. god.
I don't know how I even came back to my senses, but my hands just took charge. I reluctantly pulled myself away from his hold and brought my attention back to Lucas. I tried to act as normal and calm as possible as I placed an arm across Pablo's broad shoulders beamingly.
"Lucas, this is my boyfriend Pablo."
