Let's just get to the chapter, eh?
Hope you likey!! :)
Andy left quickly, saying something about bringing Saphryn down to eat. I glared at his retreating figure, feeling frustrated. He was keeping something from me; they both were. I looked over my shoulder at Keegan who was staring out the window, obviously deep in thought. Andy had refused to tell my why he had brought Saphryn home; he had just stuck to his 'she was special' excuse. If I didn't know any better, I'd say the man was in love with her. Shaking that ridiculous thought away, I turned to Keegan. He seemed to be having his own, internal battle. He knew that I knew that he was hiding something. I think he wanted to tell me, but something was holding him back.
"What are you hiding?" I asked bluntly. His back stiffened slightly before he shook his head, letting out a deep breath.
"I don't know what you're talking about."
"Bull! I noticed the looks you two were sharing; you guys are keeping something from me and I think I deserve to know." I fumed. Call me spoiled, but I did not act well to be kept in the dark. First thing you should know about me; I hate secrets. Keegan's shoulders tensed before he turned to face me.
"Taylen, it's nothing to worry about." He tried to reason.
"I wouldn't need to worry if you would just tell me!" I begged. He shook his head again, leaning up against the counter and glaring down at me.
"It's none of your business." He attempted. I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms.
"It is if it stops me from getting the answers I need. You guys wouldn't answer any of my questions!" I snapped. His jaw hardened as his eyes narrowed even more.
"Just drop it." He snapped back. I realized we were both talking at loud volumes but I was too worked up to care. I stomped over, getting in his face.
"I will not; I want my answers, dammit!" I shouted. He surprised me by smirking right before he wrapped an arm around my waist, trapping me to him. My breathing hitched as he trailed a finger down my cheek, my eyes drifting close as he leaned closer.
"Did I ever tell you how sexy you look when you're angry?" he whispered seductively in my ear and I shivered as his lips brushed my ear. Wait a minute, I was angry at him. Glaring, I swatted his hand and pushed away from him.
"Don't try and distract me!" I hissed at him. He merely chuckled, shaking his head.
"So I do distract you?" he smirked, cocking an eye brow. I merely rolled my eyes before continuing our argument from before.
"C'mon Keegan, just tell me." I whined. He shook his head stubbornly. "I just don't understand! You guys are obviously hiding something from me and refuse to tell me!" I shouted angrily. He sighed heavily, running a hand down his face.
"It's not exactly something we can easily explain, Lyn. And frankly, I don't think you'll handle it well." His voice was soft but sturdy, warning me to just forget it. I wasn't going to give in that easily.
