Tick Tock.

I had jolted out of bed one night, and I just took my pencil and wrote this down. It was pretty cool.

TICK TOCK:

You’re a ticking time bomb,

Liable to go off any minute.

Too many wires to cut and snip,

Too many lies to believe.

Tick tock, tick tock,

How do I know when you’re going to blow?

What protection must I put on,

To ensure that I can get home.

Too many times, I’ve come out injured,

Stabbed by bits and pieces of your debris.

I had thought that the coast was clear,

And danced onto the mines happily.

A few times, I tried to stop the bomb,

Pondering over which wire to cut.

Oops, I had snipped the wrong one,

Is it possible to restart?

Tick tock, tick tock,

I think we’re in danger here.

Constantly needing to be alert,

Constantly put in fear.

One day, when the bomb goes off,

I might just die once and for all.

Goodbye to yellow wires and hidden mines,

Goodbye to pain, blood, bleeding on the floor.
