"I'm so excited for this concert! It's been way too long since I've been able to make it to one of their concerts." I said to my phone sitting on the counter.
"It has been awhile since you've stalked them, I wondered what was up," my best friend Jenny laughed on her end of the phone.
"Oh shut up. I don't stalk, that implies being a creeper and going to their house and ya know, I'm just a... very avid fan. I've never thought about following them off the stage."
"Right, right. That's what they all say," she paused to laugh, "Naw, I know you're chill. I'm sad I couldn't go with you. You're gonna have to drive your car downtown, you sure you can do that," she asked real concern coming through.
I have a Lamborghini Murcielago and am always paranoid about things happening to it. "Yeah, they're worth it," I said know she could hear the smile in my voice.

"Alright, well have fun. And CALL ME if anything happens. Promise?"
"Yeah, yeah you freak I promise! Love you." I hung up and continued putting eyeliner on my gray eyes. I stood back and looked in the mirror. Not bad, I thought. Most people say I have a very exotic look. With gray eyes, shiny black hair, fair skin and a faced that shows my middle eastern descent, most people take a second glance.
I walked to my closet and pulled out one of my favorite dresses (http://shopimages-pe.delias.com/157309_w_s.jpg -her dress) and my black bomber jacket. I grabbed a pair of midnight blue converse, knowing they would make it easier on my toes if I got to close to the mosh pit. Deeming myself ready, I pulled my keys off their hook and ran out the door. I jumped in my car and put on my Pathos, "Give Me Reason" CD, managing to make myself more excited to see them.
After the long drive to downtown, I parked my car in a parking garage about two blocks from the concert site. Taking deep breaths, that were meant to be calming but definitely not working, I walked to the concert venue, the Gothic. They had just started letting the first few people in the doors, so I joined the line and was quickly inside, standing at the front of the stage where I would remain the rest of the night.
The first three bands were great and got me even more psyched for Pathos to come on. When they finally took the stage, the crowd went nuts! I saw Jarrod and my smile got even bigger accompanied by a growing blush. I know it's impossible, but I've always hoped he'll see me apart from the other fan girls. Silly, I know, but hey a girl can dream.
The concert was amazing, as always. I left the crowd to go buy the new Pathos T-shirt, then headed toward the exit, where Jarrod was giving out hugs. Slightly embarrassed I walked up to him, excited as he pulled me into a hug. Giggling like a little girl on the inside, I started to pull away only to hear Jarrod whisper in my ear,"you're beautiful," so quietly I wondered if he really said it at all. It'd be so like my imagination to torture me like that.
I pulled away, blushing like mad, and took a quick glance up at his gorgeous ice blue eyes, and gasped as he looked down at me. I gave a small, timid smile and turned away. I stepped outside of the venue and gave a little shiver wishing I hadn't left my coat in my car. I looked up at the sky, then turned remembering the way to the parking garage. Right when I was about to walk down the sidewalk, I felt a sharp, piercing pain in my upper left arm. I looked down at in shock and confusion, which was understandable seeing as there was a screwdriver coming out of my arm, I thought I was imagining it, I mean, things like that only happened on ER and Grey's Anatomy. I looked up into the sky trying to figure out where the hell it could have come from and saw a cherry picker at the broken light post not 10 feet away from me.
The man at the top of the cherry picker looked down at me in shock. Huh, I thought to myself, I wonder if that's similar to my face right now. I was pulled out of my thoughts when I heard a man yelling, "holy f***, how does that shit happen."
I giggled, wondering the same thing. I mean seriously shouldn't they fix that in the daylight? Lost in my thoughts, I returned to reality when a warm hand was placed on my face and a husky voice asked if I was okay. I looked up and saw Jarrod looking down at me, concern and worry vivid in his enchanting eyes. Not trusting myself to be capable of speech I just nodded my head.
