IT'S CALLED, DESTINY // Chapter One

YEAR: 3228 - Momo Haruki

In life God doesn't give you the people you want, instead He gives you the people you need. To teach you, to hurt you, to love you, and make you exactly the way you should be.

Destiny, is what was once thought of as to be, what your calling is. Not what someone assigned you for. Yet, that is how Ayamo left us. That law, which none is to break. We wish it was all just a fairytale in a book, but reality had hit us hard.

The first step to getting the things you want out of life is this: Decide what you want.

But we don't have the free will which once Earth dwellers owned. We lived under this stupid law, which a dead 'golden seed' dictator left us. We should be free, and have the freedom for ourselves, yet we don't.

Scars are like memories, and tattoos. When you fall, when your heart breaks, and when your best friend turns her back on you, it leaves a scar that can hurt every-time you think about it. It's a memory that is stuck in your head. It's in the past, but it comes back and bites. It's a tattoo because it's a memory that hurts, but doesn't disappear. It never does. When you see it so vividly, you sometimes regret what led to the scar that is a memory that leaves an imprint in your life's history.

Ayamo left a scar in our lives. We are the future. The broken piece. Yet, he is a golden seed that brought us here today. He saved us from death. He is our savior, yet our worst enemy.

The antagonist in the story of our lives.

It was noon, in the Underworld. I had been painting a village, where life was peaceful. A quaint place where people could enjoy freely, but that was just a dream. It could never be reality. At least in this society it wouldn't.

"Haru?" I was quickly turned to see my younger sister, Arisu.

"Arisu, what are you doing here?" I was in the cellar, where children under the age of twelve may not trespass or else, Ayamo's legacy guards shall imprison the child. Arisu was seven, while I was thirteen.

A thirteen year-old without a destiny yet, that was something unusual. Also, because I am turning fourteen in two months. Everyday, I hear from people saying I won't make it. Whenever Arisu hears that from her friends, she easily breaks out in tears.

Being orphans' under one of Ayamo's legacy guard's families, Arisu would be left alone with our guard, Kohaku, his wife, Kameyo, and their children, Kaede and Ryo.

Kaede, their oldest child is also my age, but she has received her destiny when she was five.

"Ryo said the Destiny Coronation is tonight." Arisu said.

I quickly dropped my paintbrush as the sweat trickled down my face.

Your life is merely a gift, it is just as easily returned as it is given, so don't take it for granted and don't let anyone touch it cause just remember its got your name on it and no anyone else's.

My life and everyone's in the Underworld, is labeled: Ayamo, The Golden Seed And Dictator.
