On Man and Death

Hark ye and attend the subject;
Of man and how he shall darken,
In death, and fall to sure neglect.
All know, yet fear this indirect,
That shall be with certainty.
Much behavior can be explained,
Thus knowing this fact. Those set free,
From the trap of death alone see,
How to make much of time retained.
Those in fear and dread can see just
Pain and loss in the unexplained.
He who sees light fears not the shade.
But who sees neither does not trust;
That death is but to resurrect,
And one can to fear readjust,
So then living as he must.
