A. W. Nutter
Listening to the grandfather clock
Ready to strike the midnight hour
A skeleton key will rattle the lock
In absolute terror a victim cowers
Sins hiding behind closed doors
Never to be revealed in the light
Satan's prisoner, on hells shore
Fear manifested during the night
The clock strikes the twelfth tone
Praying for an angel to intervene
Sadist walks in, heart made of stone
Toward insanity the child careens
New game deployed for gratification
Totally destroying the young boys spirit
Physical pain, coupled to humiliation
The gift of nightmares, his to inherit
Tears wetting the tattered pillow
As the skeleton key secures the lock
Prayers for death from a weeping willow
The shepheard ignoring one of his flock
