Ellie’s P.O.V:

“YOU LITTLE BITCH!” Emma growled at me. I figured she would call me that. It’s my fault anyway, If I wasn’t clumsy, I wouldn’t trip and the remaining coke in my bottle won’t be poured to her. “You did this on purpose! You whore, Can’t get enough of Harry, you still want Niall. Slut!” she said. Oh right, Emma must have observed the awkwardness between me and Niall and thought that something might be happening – and she’s not wrong about that. It’s been days since Niall confessed his feelings for me. I was happy – I really am. But right there and then, I remembered that I was going to die and it’s pointless to fall in love, especially with Niall.

I can’t possibly fall in love with Niall; he’s one of Harry’s best mates. It just doesn’t feel right, it’s like I’m betraying Harry and I don’t want betrayal – I’ve been dreading betrayal since I was little. My dad betrayed mom and I – he left us for some whore.

I’ve heard sobbing and shouting from the other side of the wall. Mom and dad are fighting again, they fight every night, and they fight all the time. It was deafening! Whenever they are fighting, they keep on shouting unlikable words and curses and at the end; mom will end up crying the worst! It was nightmare.

One day, when I got home from school, dad was gone. He’s always gone. Mom is always telling me that dad is working or he has some better things to do. But I’m not stupid, I know that dad’s not in the office, he’s spending time with his girl. I came to find mom and tell her that my drawings were displayed in the school paper. I was very excited. It wasn’t the first time that my drawings were displayed; it’s just that I get too excited when they are.

Mom said that my drawings are beautiful but dad never paid attention to them. I ended up giving him one drawing and he threw it, I never gave him one since then.
Dad always comes home drunk and he’ll end up beating mom. It was awful – seeing dad it mom with the chair and mom will just lay there in her own pool of blood.

“WHERE ARE YOU GOING?” I heard my mom asked dad. I went out of my bedroom only to see that has his bags and mom has fresh bruises on her body. “You’re leaving us for that whore?” my mom asked again and suddenly, dad slapped her across her face and with that, dad vanished from our life since then.

“I-I didn’t mean to – ” I was cut off by her slapping me across the face. I felt my heart started beating, it stopped and my head spin.

“HEY!” I heard someone shout. It was Niall, he was now holding me by my waist, keeping me from falling – supporting me. Was Niall there all along? Was he listening? I hope not. To think, Niall has been there since I came back here inLondon, he keeps me company. Maybe he was just feeling sorry for me – I was about to die anyway.

“Don’t you dare lay a finger on Ellie! I always thought that you were sweet and nice but I was wrong. Harry was wrong!” Niall shouted at her. She snorts and a smirk spread across her lips.

“You don’t think Harry will believe you. You failed when you tried to tell him that I called you a bitch, right Ellie? Harry loves me so much he won’t believe you.” Emma said assuring. She was right; Harry won’t believe me and Niall. Harry’s too blinded by Emma’s pretty face.

“I don’t care about Harry. For the last time, do not touch Ellie ever again or you’ll be facing me!” Niall growled. I was taken a back by Niall’s seriousness. Harry has never done this to me before…all he does is push me away.

“Ha, Whatever! You two are pathetic. I’m going to leave.” And with that, Emma exited the girl’s bathroom, leaving me and Niall with grumpy faces.

I pulled away from Niall’s grasp and steadied myself. “Thanks” I said and smiled at him. “That’s no problem. Tell me if she bothers you again.” Niall said and grinned at me.

“Ooh, now you’re so tough huh?” I teased him and he blushed wildly. “Of course, I am.”  Niall said proudly, trying his best to hide his blush. He was so adorable.
