I'll be doing a MAJOR re-edit of past chapters to look for spelling/grammer mistakes and lack of description or to much of it.

Thanks for all your love and support!

“Is!” Justins voice rang with relief.

I tugged at the ends of my hair nervously and began to find an odd interest in my split ends. “H-hey Justin.” At the sound of his name Chris began to make various kissy faces. I rolled my eyes at her and threw a pillow at her face.

“You never returned my calls.” He rushed out, “Look, Cammie and I-“

“Are not going out? I know now.” I felt relief mixed in with the bitter taste of guilt. This whole situation makes me feel like a horrible person. Justin-Keith, Keith-Justin. I never really was good at making difficult decisions.

He sighed; I could hear the stress that coated his voice. The stress I had caused him. “I’m so sorry for whatever Cam said to you. After you left and I saw you cry;” He paused as if he was trying to get his thoughts in order. “I-I never want to be the reason you cry Is, I only want to be the reason you smile.”

My stomach began to twist and turn. He was so sure of how he felt, while I was a complete and utter mess.

“It’s fine Justin,” I said sadly “But she was right. You need someone with not so much baggage, without all the extra…complications. You should move on to-“

There was a lump in my throat and sirens went off in my head commanding me to stop. But I ignored them and swallowed that lump and continued speaking.

“To someone better-“

Stop talking.

“I could never-“ I inwardly groaned, what was I doing? “It’s no doubt that I have feelings for you but things in my life are so complicated ever since Keith came over-“

“I can’t take this nonsense.” Chris snatched the phone out of my hands and covered my moving mouth. I closed my eyes and tried to still my nerves.

“Hey bro,” she sighed while shaking her bright red curls at me. “You see, Isabel is obviously drunk at the moment.”My jaw dropped as she gave me a playful wink. I lunged for the phone but she stopped me with her bare foot.

She furrowed her brows and pursed her lips as she listened to Justin. “So what if it’s illegal? You mean to tell me that you youngsters have never-“ Her eyes widened. “You haven’t?” “Well then, things were definitely different when I was a child...”

Her face turned as bright as her hair color and her eyes went ablaze with anger. “I was so not the problem child!”

“W-Well whatever!” She rolled her eyes. “Yea, yea, I’ll tell her. What’s that about Keith?” She groaned and gave me a glare. “I told you, she’s drunk.”

“Why is that so unbelievable? Unlike you and the minor 15% of the teenage population she doesn’t just stay home and do god knows what.” She laughed into the receiver, “I think you know exactly what I’m insinuating.”

“Well I never!” She pouted and threw me the phone. “He hung up on me, apparently he could only take so much idiocy at a time, and I had passed the maximum amount he could handle for a year.”

“W-What did he say?” I played with my fingers while trying to avoid her reprimanding glare.

“Well after I did some major damage control- which I do think I handled pretty well myself. He said he’d pick you up on Saturday to take you out so you two can properly talk.” She wiggled her eyes suggestively then frowned. “And this is to be considered as a date- I hope you know that, so dress nicely.”

“I never agreed to this!” I chewed on my lip, I wasn’t ready- and I still had to give Keith an answer.

She gave me the sweetest smile. “You never had a choice.”

“I don’t even know what I’ll say when I see him.”

“Everything will be fine. Just don’t act like how you did on the phone just now, god that was a train wreck.”

A small buzzing sound came from her phone. She picked it up and smiled at the text.

“Look I gots to go,” She smiled brightly. “Boyfriend’s calling.” She got up and made her way to the door, giving me one last fleeting glance before she left. “Ciao!”

The way her eyes sparkled, how there was this certain glow to her. I made sure to take note of that, because that is what true love looks like.
