Death comes gently.
Feathered wings alight
on a blood red cape of night.
A shining dagger falls
Glinting edges sharp.
Life runs along its blade,
sealing Your fate.
Your last flight hurts
Your freedom behind the veil,
left behind with the Girl of the Moon
whose starlight leaves with You.
The warmth of the night flees
separated you both weep.
One taken by darkness,
the other left to endure the numbness.
Your face fractures
Thick black tears pool and ignite
Her fury grows from afar
Boldness strengthened by her desire
to have You back
now that you've paid your price.
She runs and dives
head first into the danger of your kind.
Bargains and Battles,
Kings and Knaves.
For your starlight she still aches
but now knows of her hidden glow
The Girl of the Moon has found courage of her own.
She comes forth to You,
your curving blade in hand
her cloak of bone weathered by fight.
Her demons conquered,
your turn awaits.
Together you may earn
the life for which You've yearned.
Weapons drawn you leave your past behind
When you emerge you are no longer the same.
Blood and bone fall to love and joy in your embrace
She shivers in your arms
basking in the feel of her returnèd stars.
Your supernova heart
explodes for the Girl of the Moon
who went after You.
Your dreams of peaceful moons
meld with hers of starry skies.
Once again united you create
a perfect vision of your universe.

This is a poem I wrote when I was supposed to be working on a bio paper. If I could dedicate this to green felt and fountain pens I would. Not sure where it came from, though it might be cool to find out. :D
Feel free to ask anything. Constructive criticism is very much appreciated. ^_^
