One day a young couple was driving down a foggy road at night. They were taking a trip to go see the man's cousins. They were in the middle of nowhere and they were getting tired. At the first house they saw they stopped and asked if they had an extra room for them to stay for the night. The nice old lady who answered the door said yes. They asked her how much she would charge for the room. She ssaid that she would accept no money. When they got up in the morning, she was nice enough to make them breakfast. They again asked if she wanted any money for the room. Again she said no. As they left they put some money on the table.They then drove the rest of they way to the cousin's house. they told them about the stay at the house. The cousins asked where the house was. The couple tried to describe the place as well as possible. The cousins lookes concerned, and pulled out an old newspaper. They then asked if the house looked like the one depicted on the front of the newspaper and if they were sure that they had stayed in the house. They answered both questions with yes and read the newspaper article. It said that the house had burned down 6 months ago killing the old lady who had lived there. Later the couple went back to the house. It was a burnt pile of rubble. They saw a table, which was half burnt off, and on that table was the money that they had left there the other day.
