*THREE MONTHS LATER*

Glancing in the mirror, I ran my fingers through my hair one more time, grabbing a few flower pins before sliding them into my hair, holding back a few sections of curls before deeming myself ready.

It was the night of the Sadie Hawkins dance. Shelby and I had spent the last few hours preparing, but for some reason, my mind kept going into reflection mode.

I just couldn't believe how much happened in my life the past several months, starting right after my coming home from the hospital.

The days following my release form the hospital were agonizing and long and boring. Mom made me just sit on the couch or in bed, telling me that I needed to take it easy.

I never want to just lay around doing nothing again. It drove me out of my mind.

Though, having my friends and Theodore there made it a little better. They kept me company, made me laugh and on the occasions where it was just Theodore and I watching movies in the living room, we really formed a bond with each other. We started sending text messages to each other when we weren't together and we overall became closer than ever.

I learned more about him like the fact that he bites his nails when he feels a little nervous, he loves action movies and he hates butter on his popcorn, but loves to douse it in salt.

He loves cupcakes, but not chocolate ones; he only likes chocolate in either candy bar or hot cocoa form. His favorite soda is Root Beer and he snorts when he laughs too hard. Like, actually snorts. It's literally the cutest thing. At first we were a bit timid of showing any sort of affection towards each other; just holding hands had us blushing and acting like a couple of five year olds.

Now, Theodore and I were no longer shy about our relationship. It took a little coaxing in the beginning for us to walk the halls hand in hand, but after a little while, we both knuckled under and decided that we should be okay with holding hands and just being together like normal people.

When we officially became a couple, his family invited me over for dinner and I finally got a glimpse into his home life. Theo was the middle child, crammed between an older brother (who came home from college on break for the dinner) named Derek and a younger sister (who currently went to the local middle school and had a slight obssession with make-up) named Elena. They had three dogs, all of the large variety, one belonging to each of the siblings.

A week after, he came to my house for dinner. Adam came as well, and thankfully for me, all three of my parents and Eddie approved of Theodore.

Eddie especially. Once he found out that Theo could fix things and had a high level of intelligence too, he snatched him for conversation nearly all night.

After the big reveal on the Oliver issue, the small group I had become a part of grew, adding on Shane, Keegan and Theodore. We all had a pretty strong bond with each other. I guess we all felt like after such a crazy experience, we had to stick together. And we really liked it; our group of six just seemed to click perfectly.

We all sat at the same table at lunch and seeing each other in the hallway no longer seemed awkward.

Shane and I managed to hammer out our issues; right after I came back to school, the two of us avoided each other and when we caught the other's eye, all we could push out was an awkward smile. Finally, we decided that when we had so many mutual connections, we couldn't just ignore the problem.
