My meeting at the coffeehouse was today, as I was slightly nervous because it was a sunny day. He had to walk in direct sun to get inside, so when he doesn't show up I will know why and then I will have caught the bastards in his own game. I arrived early to get a good set and view by the window to see if he would actually show up. Five minutes passed three and he still has not showed up, as I smirked to myself as I picked up the newspaper and searched for my favorite comic 'Get Frizzy', I just loved that mental cat. As I giggled to myself I noticed a person sitting down in front of me. As I looked up and saw Lucas sitting down with an ice tea in his hands.

"Hey sorry I am late, I was doing laundry and lost track of time" dame-it I thought to myself, I did not get to see him come in

"Its fin I have only been here for a few minutes" he smiled

"Good, so how was your weekend?" I shrugged

"Boring did not do anything, yours?" besides stock Joel's house, my heart fell

"It was okay had to listen to Missy, complain the entire time, she is not really an outdoors type" he said as I notice him checking out to bimbos flirting with the guy behind the counter

"You know, it's rude to check other girls out when you are with a girl" he raised an eyebrow at me, which I had never seen Luke do, but something that Joel always does

"I'm sorry, I did not think you were the jealous type" he said smirking. "I am not jealous I just think it's rude, plus you have a girlfriend. How do you think she would feel if she knew what you are doing?"

"She would not be happy, but you are not interested in any way, so I highly doubt she would care, as for them it might be different" I laugh as an awarded slight fell over us

"So, there is this party tonight at the lake, do you want to go?" he asked after a long stale silent's

"With Missy and all her friend I think I will pass" he laugh

"It is not just her friend, but my own friend different from hers, you should come to get out the house and socialize" I shook my head

"I do not think so, I really do not need you to take pity on me for the accident, I agreed to coffee, but I think that is as far our relationship goes: he smirked

"Annie I am not taking pity on you, I think you seem cool and a person I could be friends with, but you are one stubborn girly" he laughs "Macy warned me about that" he said laughing

Joel always called me his stubborn girl, we always argued about silly things for no reason. It felt as if my heart was being sensed as the memories of our last argument came flooding back. As I felt a hand be placed on top of mine, as a familiar burning sensation that made me angry as I pulled my hand out from under his. He had a concerned look on his face as he slowly withdrew his hand back to his side of the table.

"Are you okay, you looked, like you were about to cry" he was right I could feel the tears on the edge of spilling over and falling down my cheek

"I'm fine, was just thinking of something" he looked down

"Do you want to talk about it?" I shook my head no, not meeting his gaze "when you need someone to talk to, I have been told I am a wonderful shoulder to cry on" I smiled

"Thanks, I just need time, do not really know, you as Lucas and it is hard actually to trust you right now" I said looking down fiddling with the corner of the newspaper

"I get it Annie, no need to explain it all to me" he said as he stood up and stretched "I have to get home and finish cleaning my house before my mom finds out, but I will pick you up at eight then" I rolled my eyes

"Mama's boy" I mumbled as he laughed and started walking away "hey I never agreed to go, plus you do not even know where I live" as he turned and walked backward

"Too late I decide for you and your parents invited my family over for dinner when you were..." he looked around "well I know where you live" as in turned back and continued to walk out the door.
