1. How long have you been self harming? Since I was in year 6 but it was at the end

2. What part of your body is most affected by it? Upper thighs

3. What is your motivation to recover? The fact that I don’t want people to see them and I want to be able to be free from more scars

4. Do you consider yourself “addicted”? why or why not? Yeah because I can’t stop I cut for pretty much everything and one cut is never enough I have to draw blood and quiet a lot of it

5. What part of self harm do you dislike the most? The scars and that I have to hide it from friends and family so I can’t where what I use to or else they show and I don’t go out as much unless I can cover them up or have a good enough reason as to why I have them

7. list 10 activities that help you calm down. 1) listen to music. 2) write. 3) play music 4) do martial arts 5) take photos 6) sleep 7) climb trees 8) swim 9) watch waves not matter the weather 10) read

8. What the most supportive thing anyone has said to you about self harm? Nothing none of the mate who know I ‘use’ to self harm knew what to say so it’s just song lyrics that support me :/

9. Have you ever taken pictures of your wounds? Discuss. Yeah but I always delete them as I get scared someone will see and ask

10. How do you feel about your scars? Like shit that I can do that to myself but it’s obviously not strong enough or else I would’ve stopped cutting

11. Strangest place (school, park, etc) you’ve ever injured yourself? In my bedroom

12. Where do you keep your ‘tools’? (Your room, in a box, disposed of them?) under my lava lamp is where the best one is and the others are in this small tree house thing I made in hard tech and that on a shelf in my room

13. What is the biggest realization about self harm you’ve had? That its shit and it’s like drugs. Addictive.

14. Is there anyone you consider to be an inspiration in your recovery? Music, rock artist mostly

15. Do you visit any websites about self harm? If so, what are they? Yeah I dunno what they are

16. What advice would you give to someone about self harm? Don’t do it and if you do please let people know

17. Do you know anyone else who injures themselves? Yeah and I know a few who use to :/

18. Write a letter to the future (recovered) you. Dear Emma please look back on the scars as a badge of honour and wear the scars proudly and don’t lie about why you have them tell the truth about them. Whatever you’re like you are perfect unless you pretend to be someone you’re not then you better change as being who you truly are is the best you can be, stay in  touch with your mates and always be there for them stay crazy and metal as your funny then. I’m proud that you stopped cutting <3 ily would write more but me and you both know that we’re shit at this type of shit

19. List 5 reasons that recovery is worth it. 1) you’ll feel better 2) mates don’t worry bout our as much 3) scars are less 4) dunno haven’t stopped yet

20. What is the most vivid memory you have of self harm. The side of my foot I saw this whit stringy stuff (dunno what it is) then I bleed for ages after and I cut my wrist like that once too.

21. Have you tried to stop in the past? What are you doing differently this time? Yeah I stopped for 2 months. Haven’t stopped yet
