In my coloured dream
I spilt hundreds and thousands,
flew above oceans,
stole the gold dragon
from a blue silk kimono.
In my coloured dream
there's a tilted hat
with a bird on the brim,
and me eating apricots
in a green satin slip.
In real life
I've got a headache
and hassles
and homework.
At least on the desk
sits a rainbow flavoured poem,
some kind of rescue
from the blunt-edged days.
To see life in colour is a great thing.
