Cat’s P.O.V.

            Dealer grabbed the entire deck of cards and began to shoot. The cards glowed as they shot around me barely missing my skin as I tried to get closer to him. I couldn’t shift, I didn’t have enough energy to phase yet, and the rest of my energy was quickly depleting. He was wasting cards on purpose. The more he threw the more I had to dodge, and the weaker I became. I couldn’t last long enough for him to run out of all the decks he had stored on him.

            When I was close enough I moved to avoid a card and lunged when I found a still moment. Dealer was knocked back and I took advantage of the moment. Moving forward without stop I threw a jab cross and followed with a hook. Ducking to avoid the punch he threw my way I sent up and upper cut to his jaw. Spinning I side kicked putting all my power into knocking him away before springing forward again to take advantage of his off balance. Grabbing his hand I twisted his palm my way putting my other hand at his elbow and making two right angles out of his wrist and arm before pointing my finger toward him, twisting his wrist.

            His knees bent as his body moved to adjust to the pain and I kicked forward then pulled back to kick up with my knee hitting his jaw again. Before I could throw in another hit to the weak fighter an arm appeared out of nowhere to grab me around the waist pulling me back and throwing me across the room. I landed and rolled trying to catch myself and get up quick enough to fight back. Shock Wave stood before me ready for a fight.

            I tensed and began moving forward zigzagging back and forth as he did. The closer I got the better I’d be able to avoid his power, but that didn’t seem to bother him. Shock Wave was itching to fight me fist to fist before he wasted power on a girl without use of her own powers. He threw the first punch when I was close enough and I flipped back kicking up to his him in the face. Landing I straightened quickly and spun lifting up to hook hick him in the stomach and bend him over slightly. He was more fit than Dealer and quickly recovered. He shot forward with speed I hadn’t suspected for a man of his size.

            He shot around me taking advantage of my weakening state while he was still fresh for the fight. His hit came from behind hitting me in the back making me stumble forward before his arm locked around my throat cutting off my breathing. I gasped for air struggling to break free. Balancing just right I pushed up off my feet as I grabbed his shoulder and put the rest of my strength into pulling up as I jumped. My body bent and my head slipped from his grasp while I catapulted over to fall to the ground behind him. Better than choking I braced my arms on the ground and swung my legs out to hit him behind the knees. His legs buckled and he landed on his hands and knees. Before he could recover I moved to jump on him.

            Wrapping my legs to lock his arms to his sides I wrapped my own arms around his neck. This time I was chocking him and I shifted my nails to claws to scratch at the tender skin. He was stronger though and fought his arms free rolling onto his back to crush me. I arched my back to push him off me slightly enough to breath as I tried to tear at a vein while his broke free arms grappled to capture mine. Letting go of the chokehold I still scratched blindly at his face and neck. Shock Wave rolled off and then was back as I tried to get up.

            He grabbed my wrists pinning my arms above me. I lifted my knees up to hit his torso as his free hand locked around my neck. I took a deep breath as he blocked off my air passage. I let out the breath as I pushed up with my knees until I could use my feet to push him the rest of the way. Shock Wave was flipping onto his back and I jumped up. I was getting weaker and weaker and he was still fighting hard. Blood poured down his face from deep gashes and sadly shallower ones on his neck.
