''Rose.''

I mentally groaned and wished it wasn't her. Small chance.

Turning around I saw Stacey running towards me her blonde hair that was up in a ponytail swishing from side to side, when she caught up to me she stopped front of me slightly breathless, and I released sigh that I wasn't aware of holding.

''Look Stacey I am running late so hurry up if you want to tell me something important.'' I said putting slight emphasis on the word ''important'' as Stacey was usually only full of gossip she wanted to spread.

She was gulping breath in and while she was doing that I gave her slight once over look.

She was wearing black leggings and blue tight shirt that was showing off her skinny figure, her blond hair was tied in a messy ponytail so slimly tanned neck was showing.

I looked at her slightly raising my eyebrows so she would speak, when she continued to gulp in the air even though I could see she didn't need it as she wasn't breathless anymore, I turned around to unlock the door of my car while waiting for her to talk.

Opening the door I leaned in and threw my bag in, pulling my head out the car I laid a hand on the on top of the car and faced Stacey. She was frowning while biting her bottom lip. ''Actually, never mind'' she partly smiled ''See you at Monday at practise?''

Staring at her face for a second, I nodded ''Sure.'' Getting behind the wheel, I rested my hands on the wheel and looked out of the window at Stacey who was jogging away. I don't know why, but I knew she wanted to tell me something but I guess she didn't have courage to.

Rolling my shoulders backwards to relieve the muscles aching I thought about Stacey; she was a generally nice person and people thought she had a lot. To be honest, her life was pretty fucked, she was a mess from her parent's divorce and she didn't recover of the emotional rollercoaster yet.

Switching on the engine I moved out of the nearly empty parking lot.

Few minutes later I was in the driveway of our house. I couldn't be bothered to get up straight away and go inside so I looked up at the sky. There were lots of stars out, smiling lightly I remembered the times I spent with mum and dad camping for weeks and spending nights looking up at the sky with the bonfire burning bright and all of us chatting and laughing.

Releasing breath through my nose I slowly climbed out of the car. Locking the doors after me I walked up the path to my house instantly noticing my mum's car was parked in the garage. Guess she finished early today then.

Opening the front door and then closing it after me I leaned against the door before calling out ''Mum!''

As I was about to take step forward I saw something white and fluffy rush at me ''Snowball!''. Snowball, my cat, stopped and looked up at me, licking its paws before turning around and making its way back to the living room where it came at me from.

''Mum ! Where are you?''

I stood up realising that mum must have gone out back out or never took the car in the morning. Kicking my shoes against the wall I started to sing out loud the first song that came into my mind.
