I pulled up in front of King's Buffet. I pulled my helmet off, and kicked the kickstand out. I got off my bike, and fastened my helmet to the seat. The sound of car doors shutting had me looking around. My parent's were climbing out of the car.

"Hi, honey." My mom said, walking up to me where I stood on the sidewalk, waiting on them.

"Hi."

"Are you ready to eat?" My dad asked.

"Yeah." We walked in the door and a Chinese woman came up to us.

"May I help you?"

"Table for three please."

"Smoking, non-smoking?"

"Non-smoking." She led us to a table, and sat silverware down in front of us.

"Drink?"

"Mountain dew." I said.

"Sweet tea." My mom told her.

"Dr. Pepper." My dad requested. She walked away, and then returned a few minutes later with our drinks. Mom and I got up to fix our plates while dad sat behind to watch the table. I got my two favorite dishes: Honey barbecue chicken, and chicken nuggets, with two sugar rolls. I ate a plate full, and then went to get fruit. When I finished my fruit, I got an ice cream cone. Mom and dad finished eating,  they paid, and we exited the restaurant.

"I guess I'll see you later then." I said to them, swinging my leg over my bike, and removing my helmet from the back of the seat.

"We'll be back tomorrow." My mom told me. I had no idea where they were going. We had no family here in America. They were probably just going to drive to another state for the night.

"Okay then."

"Have fun at your party." They said, and then they walked across the parking lot, and got into the car, and drove away. I stuffed my helmet on my head, and then started my bike up. I drove home. When I got there, I went up to my room and fixed my hair and makeup. Then I went downstairs and filled a giant cooler with ice and drinks. The doorbell rang, and I went to go answer the door.

"Hey!" Beth squealed. A group of people stood behind her, and a bunch more were climbing out of cars.

"Hi. Come on in." I moved aside, over to the stereo, and started rifling through music. I put in a random CD, and Rihannah's Rude Boy blared through the speakers. People kept coming in, and soon my house was packed with grinding people. The air was thick with the scent of sweat and alcohol that someone had thought to bring. The whole senior class was in my house, most of them completely drunk.

I wasn't. I hadn't had a single drink. The only thing guilty of going down my throat was an ice cold mountain dew. Beth however was drunk. She clutched her red plastic cup like her life would end if she lost it. She was currently following after me as I talked to some of our classmates. Beth giggled furiously, laughing harder when she stumbled about. A member of the football team pulled her into a grind line. She giggled drunkenly, and I walked off to the kitchen, figuring she could handle herself.

Up All Night started playing in the living room. I heard screams from excited girls, and groans from the guys. Of course I was a fan of my best friends band. They were all my friends. I was close to them all, I was just the closest to Niall. Besides, it was a good party song.

"Amber!" I heard someone shout. It was a male voice, British and slurred. The voice was loud in my quiet kitchen. The sound bouncing off the walls and hitting my ears. Suddenly, I was lifted off of the ground, and spun around.

"Ah! Put me down!" I yelled. I was sat on my feet. I turned around, ready to tell the person off, but my words caught in my throat when I saw who it was.
