Chapter 26

"Sit down, get to know each other. I'll go get us some drinks." Michael says to Tatiana and I.

"I can't drink Michael. And it's okay, I'll get the drinks for you and Tatiana," I still maintain that fake smile.

"No, I will." He's already standing up and making his way toward the bar. I sigh and sit next to Tatiana.

"So Tatiana--" I stop speaking when I see her unfriendly facial expression.

"Excuse me honey. That's Ms. Thumbtzen to you, my friends call me Tatiana."

I can't say I'm not surprised. She did look like a bitch from the moment I saw her. She's just a pretty bitch and it annoys me.

I see that she's given up on her pretentious smile so I do too.

"How old are you?" She asks.

"I'll be 20 in three days." I answer. She starts to laugh.

"What on earth are you doing here?"

"I'm just giving my boyfriend support."

She freezes in place and slowly looks at me. Why can't I be as beautiful as her?

"Who's your boyfriend."

I roll my eyes at her obtuse question. She knows who it is but doesn't want to accept or believe it. I feel a bit prideful.

"Michael Jackson."

"What?! Why is he messing around with some little girl?"

That instantly offends me.

"Stop bringing up age, it doesn't matter how old I am." I say irritably.

"He probably just wants you for your body." She mumbles.

"That's not true given the fact that we've only had sex once and we've been together for a little over a month."

I'm not sure why I'm giving her so much information about our relationship. I just want her to know that she won't get between us.

"I don't think you understand. Michael is in love with me."

"Why should I believe you? My first impression was that you're a bitch and I'm sticking by that."

"No I'm serious. He told me himself when I was at Neverland a few days ago. He invited me there one night," she says.

"Liar. I have no reason to believe you so I'm not going to."

"He's not who you think he is."

"Then why do you love him?"

"I know why you love him. Gold digger," she mumbles under her breath. I stand up out my my seat and point my finger in her face.

"You don't know what I've been through, so don't give me that bullshit," I say lowly.

"Okay calm down," she says. People are starting to look at the scene we're making.

"No I won't calm down. I haven't known you for half and hour and you're trying to tear my relationship apart with your lies. I'm not having it." I say sharply.

At that moment Michael comes back to the table with the drinks. He takes a seat next to me so we are across from Tatiana. She thanks Michael sweetly and I wonder why he can't see through her falseness like I can. It hurts to think he may have feelings for her. I quickly brush the thought out of my mind.

"Sorry for the delay. A few people wanted to chat with me." He says, all smiles.

Is he oblivious to what just happened? I sure hope so.
