Chapter 63.2: The End of Highschool
Jin's POV
Nagtuloy tuloy lang ang graduation. By now, nakuha na namin lahat yung diploma namin meaning graduate na talaga kami. I won't let anyone ruin this day for me.
"Salutatorian, Mikaela Valdez" -MC
Umakyat na si Mika dun sa stage. Waaah T___T ako na next. Kinakabahan na talaga ako.
"Valedictorian, Jin Charel Tan" -MC
This is it!
"Let's now hear Ms. Jin Charel Tan for her valedictiry address" -MC
"Go bessy!" sigaw ni KL
Bahala na! Gamitin mo yung talino mo ngayon Jin. Hinihintay nilang lahat yung speech mo. I can't disappoint everyone. Kaya ko to! Fighting!
"Honored Guests, our beloved Directress: Mrs. Macalinao, our Principal: Mrs. Balisi, parents, friends, teachers, fellow graduates, ladies and gentlemen, good afternoon"
"This afternoon I stand before you with a single purpose and that purpose is to sincerely extend my deepest gratitude to those people who became a part of my success and to leave you the words of my heart which have found a perfect moment to express them in this equally beautiful and triumphant moment. This is the moment when we have finally come to reap the rewards of the 4 difficult years of academic struggles as a high school student. The 4 years that gave us many challenges and trials. We survived so let us enjoy this moment. To all of our teachers, we thank you for all your efforts and patience. We want you to know that all your efforts we're worth it. We have definitely learned a lot from you not only about the subjects you taught but also the things about life and how it should be lived. We salute you all. We will surely miss you. To my family who supported me all the way, I give you my deepest and sincerest gratitude. You deserve my medals and diploma. Mommy and Daddy, I know that words aren’t enough to thank you for everything. I am very thankful that you were my parents. I love you! Seniors, graduate na tayo! I know that this day will be one of the happiest and loneliest moments. It is the happiest because this day, we were in here to receive the tokens of our academic struggle as a high school student. But at the same time, it is the loneliest because we need to say our goodbyes. But for me, it is not the end because the friendship we had will last forever. You guys were like my own brothers and sisters. I am very grateful that I met all of you. Thanks for everything guys. I will miss the “asaran”, “iyakan” and “barahan” moments that we had"
"But before I end this speech of mine, I want to share a story about me. This school year has been very difficult for me. I've been into different trials and problems that sometimes I even thought of giving up but I didn't and that's all because of the people around me who believed in me. This school year, I experienced what most of girls at my age are experiencing. It's breaking up with the guy I loved. That break up affected my studies but I'm still lucky that I'm standing here in front of you. I had a tough time dealing with that break up but after that, I became a stronger person. So, I don't want to blame him for that, he's one of the reasons behind my success"
