Is this the Only Direction?

Yes, i am aware that this chapter is rather short, but the next one will make up for it.

“How long have you fancied Zayn?”  Those words knocked the air out of my chest.  How could he have known?  Was I really that obvious?  And if Louis noticed, being the oblivious boy that he is, the others had to of noticed something, right?

I was pulled out of my thoughts by his laughter. “Relax, Haz, I’m not telling anyone.  It’s just something that I noticed.”  I felt relieved by his words.  I didn’t know why I was so worried that he knew.  He and I told each other everything.  We could trust each other.

I adjusted myself and looked him in the eyes.  “Lou, you have to promise not to tell Zayn.”  I knew he wouldn’t say anything, but I had to be safe.  Sometimes with Louis, he doesn’t know when to keep his mouth shut.

He just laughed at me, though.  “I promise, Haz,” and he kissed my forehead. “I think I’ll retire, now.  Early morning and all.”  He kissed me again and went to his room, closing the door behind him.  I was pretty tired myself, so I decided to take a shower and head to bed.

Louis

I felt the door close behind me, and then the tears fell.

How could I have not known?  The way he looked at him.  The way his body tensed up around him. It was impossible not to notice.  Well, for me anyway, because I did the same thing.

I dragged myself over to my bed and collapsed on it.  I pulled my legs to my chest and let the sobs explode. 

I love Harry, and he loves Zayn.  God, the pain is just intolerable.  I don’t know how I’m able to keep a straight face in front of everyone, being the horrible liar that I am.

I honestly couldn’t tell you how I do it.  I love of my life sleeps down the hall, and I’m in here “sleeping”.

I was glad I was leaving for a few days.  I would miss Harry of course, but I wouldn’t miss the way he looks at Zayn.  The way I want him to look at me.
