Ari Bent, Destruction {On Hold}

Ari's POV.

"How cute." I heard a chuckle from behind Deshawn and me. I recognized that voice, but I didn't believe who it was. Even when I turned and saw his face I couldn't believe it. Tameron, my brother. A crip in blood territory, what was he even doing here?

"Oh god..." I said under my breath.

"You talk big for a crip walking alone in Blood territory." Deshawn hissed.

"Oh believe me, I'm not alone." Tameron winked at me. No, he wasn't bringing me back there. There was no way I'd go back there, not ever.

"Dude there are more of us around here, you really stupid enough to challenge that?" Deshawn and Tameron were about the same size, both strong, both fit. But Tameron was quick and agile, he was a good fighter... but so was I. I was almost sure I could beat him in a fight if I was fast enough but if I made one slip up he was strong enough to beat me. I wasn't used to this, though. I wasn't used to standing up to my brother or challenging him. I didn't think I could do it. Deshawn stood in front of me protectively.

"You protectin' her?" Tameron said in realization of who I was now.

"I'll give you a warning, dude. Just get out of here."

"You gotta be kidding me. What's your name, now?" He said towards me.

"This is your last warning, dude."

"Get out of here." I said confidently from behind Deshawn. I stopped myself from shaking; I had never said something so brash to my brother before. He arched an eyebrow, maybe he thought he could take Deshawn and me down... but he didn't know what I was now. I could crush him... not that I wanted to.

I was a new person now, though. I didn't want Tameron to scare Ari Bent like he did Aurora Cage.

"Tough guy now that you've got a blood to defend you?" Tameron pulled something out of his pocket--a knife. He smiled at it proudly and showed us the blade as he moved towards us slowly. "I don't have to make this bloody, you know." He said towards me. "Just come with me, you know you won't get yourself in too much trouble if you just make this simple."

"Deshawn get out of here." I said quietly and pushed Deshawn out of my way.

"Ari..." Deshawn said opposingly.

"Let me handle this."

"I'm not going to just leave you here when that random crip that has a knife is coming towards you."

"Let me handle this!" I hissed at my friend. Deshawn wasn't backing off. Tameron moved towards us still. I looked towards my brother. He jumped towards us and bolted at Deshawn with his knife. I tried to shove my friend out of the way, accidentally putting myself in a vulnerable position. Deshawn saw this and shoved me out of the way of the knife, ultimately getting himself stabbed. The blade dug through his chest, blood start gushing out almost instantly. It didn't help that the knife had a hook on the end on the silver blade as he ripped it out of my friend's body. I screamed and shoved Tameron away, Deshawn held his hands over the wound and moaned in agony. I whipped around and held up my arms. Tameron looked at me with wide eyes as bricks from the nearby buildings were ripped out of the walls and thrown in my brothers direction as blood and energy raced through my arms.

Tameron hesitated, shocked by what was happened, but he dodged the bricks that were thrown his way.

"Aurora... what the hell?"

"I go by Ari now. You've hurt my friend!" The realization of what had happened was coming to me now. Deshawn was hurt. I ran to him and held his head up. "Get out of here, Tameron!" I shouted towards my brother. He took one look at me and Deshawn before he ran off, now knowing what I was capable of. I moved Deshawn's hands from the wound and sighed in relief when I saw he was stabbed in the lower shoulder--not in the chest.

"Ari, what was he talking about before?"

"Deshawn, we'll talk about it later." I said and took off his sweatshirt, wrapping it around the wound on his shoulder. He was about to oppose but before he could he just lost all of the remaining energy in his body and dropped his head back in my arms. He was unconscious now, resting. I had to get the others for help, what of this wound was more serious than I thought?

It took a bit for me to lift Deshawn up, he was heavier than I was by no small amount. I could barely lift him as it was, so I ended up taking his arms and dragging him back to the base. I left him outside as I climbed into the basement, all eyes were on me.

"Deshawn's hurt." I said quietly, almost in tears.

Tameron's POV.

"Dad, there's something wrong with Aurora--" I began as I ran through the door.

"You mean you found her?" He raised an eyebrow, slightly impressed.

"Yeah, Dad, she's with some Bloods in the south end of the city, listen," I said quickly.

"The bloods have her?"

"... Sorta."

"How many?"

"They didn't say, I saw one of them and he just said there were more."

"What did you do with that one?"

"I nicked him in the shoulder, I would have gotten a better hit if Aurora hadn't gotten in the way--"

"What do you mean got in the way? The bloods must've pushed her in front of them to protect themselves..." He decided.

"Not exactly..."

"Find them again and kill the bloods. Bring Aurora back here."
