Dreams Unfulfilled
A dream kept,
A tear wept
Unfulfilled,
Time stilled
Doubt in mind,
Feeling lost and left behind
Wondering if it will every come true
And what all you must do
A void inside
Constantly leaving your emotions to hide
Looking for that missing piece
One that will allow your worries to cease
Books you read where your dreams actually occur
Cause so many feelings to always stir
Craving that true need
Leaving you internally to bleed
Feeding all the pain and the hurt,
Often times leaving you feeling like dirt
Yearning for that gracious end,
Where your mind relentlessly possesses all your fantasies to spend
Render all that’s left behind
Hoping one day all you fear shall leave your mind
But for now you are left to endear
All that it burns you within to hear
Until one day you will let it all go
Giving you a new feeling to relish and to know
One of pure joy and love
One that God gives us from above
Filling that hole
Where happiness was once stole
The missing piece
A newfound ease
A love to cherish and to hold
One that shall steadily try to mold
Your dreams finally fulfilled
And all grief at last stilled
