Love doesn't happen to anyone, because it happens to everyone. Sometimes we just let those people slip past us - slim through us, clear as glass without realizing they're our destiny, our fate. And so we let them go; continuing to live our lives untailored, because we're too blind to see what's right in front of us.
"Medony?" Brian's breath was soothing - his lips warm on mine.
"You couldn't resist." I half chuckled, exploring his mouth furthermore. But he was too dumb, too brainwashed to realize that /I/ was the one who couldn't resist him. He was too beautiful; too cocky; too /Brian/ to not love.
I fell for him, from day one.
"I like you." He smiled against my lips as he said this, "I really like you."
And I believed him and for the first time tonight, things were going to be okay - things were going to be alright.
He was going to say something else, but I didn't give him the chance. I closed his mouth with mine and we both fell asleep - completely forgetting about any party there ever was.
I didn't know what the future had; I didn't understand what fate had planned. But with Brian by my side, his hands in my hair - his lips tingling on mine; I wasn't afraid to discover.
