-Lisa's POV-

"Kendall, I have to go back and finish college!" I argued.

"Why?! Why can't you stay here and start a singing career again?!" Kendall argued back.

"No, Kendall!"

"Why?!"

"Because!" I shouted.

"Because why!?"

I took a step back. "Because, Kendall... Griffin might not even want me back here."

"He's probably forgotten, Lisa," Kendall said.

I shrugged. "I don't know. I really like Cosmetology school." I sat on the couch in apartment 12L.

There was a moment of silence before Kendall sighed. "I'm sorry, babe..." He sat next to me and put his arm over my shoulders.

"It's okay." I laid my head on his shoulder as he stroked his fingers up and down my arm. "I only have about seven more months until I'm done."

"Okay, that's fine. I'll come visit whenever I can."

I smiled up at Kendall and he kissed me.

"Happy birthday, baby," Kendall's voice rung, and my eyes opened.

I smiled and kissed his cheek. "Thank you."

I then quickly jumped up to brush my teeth and get ready for the day. Kendall took me out for my birthday, and he couldn't have been any sweeter.

We decided to walk over to apartment 2J, where everyone was; including Laura.

"Happy birthday, Lisa!" Everyone said, and I smiled.

"Thanks, guys!"

Then, my phone rang. I answered it and held it up to my ear.

"Hello?" I said.

"Hey, Lisa!" It was my mom.

"Hi, mom!"

"Hi, Mrs. Johnson!" Kendall shouted from the couch, and I laughed.

"Who was that?" My mom asked.

"Oh, it was just Kendall." I walked back into Katie's bedroom, and sat on her bed after shutting the door.

"Oh." Mom laughed. "Well, first off; happy birthday."

"Thank you."

"And second; I think you should come home."

"Um, when?" I questioned, rubbing the back of my neck.

"Tonight."

"Tonight!?" I exclaimed.

"Yep, tonight! I've already got the plane tickets for you and Laura."

"Mom, you've got to be kidding me..." I rubbed my forehead and fall back on the bed.

"Why, what's wrong?"

"Mom, you don't understand," I said. "You could've at least gotten tickets for tomorrow night, so that we all could've had at least a day to spend together."

"Oh, I'm sorry."

I sighed. "No, it's okay."

"Okay, I'll see you soon!" I could hear the smile in my mom's voice. "Happy birthday!"

I just hung up. My eyes watered a bit, and I stared across the room. I finally stood up, wiped my eyes, and walked out of Katie's room.

"Hey, babe." Kendall smiled and everyone looked back at me. "Everything okay?" He asked.

"Not really." I sighed, sitting next to him.

"What's going on?" Laura asked.

"My mom wants us to fly back out to Tennessee... Tonight."

"WHAT?" Everyone shouted.

"No, no, no, no..." Kendall jumped up. "You can't leave today!"

"I'm so sorry, Kendall!" I said. "But we'll see each other again."

"Not for a while, though."

"Don't worry," I told him, and he smiled softly, sitting back down next to me. "We'll see each other again."
