Amanda's POV:

"Amanda! Wake up already!" Mom shouted from downstairs. I groaned and got off the bed. It's monday already?! Aww man. Realizing I was gonna be late for school today I quickly undressed and slipped into the shower.

I roughly washed my long brown hair and slipped out of the bathroom, Hunting for a towel. Oh there it is, on the towel rack of course. I quickly wrapped my hair into one towel and my body in another.

I entered my closet thinking what to wear, I chucked out a pair of red skinny jeans and my favourite AC/DC white tank top. I put them on and removed the towel from my hair. I blow dried my straight long brown hair and combed all my knots. I slipped into my comfy converse.

Grabbed my phone and bag and ran down knowing I had just 10 minutes to reach school. I grabbed nutella and toast, Kissed my mom's cheek and ran outside the house, Before slamming the door I yelled 'Bye Mom, Bye Dad!' Before they could even reply.

I reached school. Knowing I was around 10 minutes late. I ran into the school hallway running towards my first lecture, ENGLISH. Crap.

I opened the door when before I could even step inside the teacher said "Nice to know you're joining us Miss Cleveland, Come take a seat, you're late!". I groaned and grabbed a seat next to my best friend Rose.

Half the class I wasn't even paying attention, SHAKESPEARE! Lord, save me. Who would be interested? Before I could snap out of daydreaming the bell rung! I got out of my seat grabbing Rose's arm and walking outside of the class before the teacher could say anything else.

"Amandaaaaa!" Rose nearly shrieked in my ear! "The 70's dance is toooonight! Aren't you excited?!" She yelled in joy.

"Oh yeah, I totally forgot about the dance." I said without any interest.

The day passed by pretty slowly. And I was literally dying to get home. Finally the bell rung, and we all left for home.

"I'll pick you up at 7! Be ready!" Rose yelled while I was walking towards home.

As soon as I reached home, knowing there was no one at home I put my favourite One Direction CD in the music player and increased the volume to full.

"Let's tell the neighbours what good music sounds like" I smirked as I walked up to my room dancing on the music.

It was 5 already, So I had exactly 2 hours to get ready before Rose came to pick me up.

I walked up to my closet searching for something that looked seventies-ish. I pulled out a Polka dot wavy dress. That came up to the middle of my thighs. I picked out some funky boots. And a waist belt that went along with the dress.

I decided to go for a shower before going to the dance knowing that I'll be too tired for one after I get back. I qucikly slipped into the shower and washed my hair nicely and smoothly. Before getting into a towel I knew the cold air was gonna hit me so I quickly grabbed a towel and covered myself with it.

I slipped into the Polka Dot dress and wore netted leggings underneath. I put on the waist belt. I remember keeping the curler on before I went for a shower. I quickly blow dried my hair. And grabbed the curler and curled the ends of my hair. I put my eyeliner and mascara and slight make up. I quickly put my flicks down. And slipped into the boots.

I grabbed a black clutch, dumped my phone and other small nicknack's. And went downstairs.

I checked the wall clock and saw it was 2 minutes to 7.

Suddenly, My phone started vibrating. I took my phone and answered "Hello?"

"Dad&I will be working till late today, so don't forget to take the keys before leaving for the dance. I already spoke to Rose's mum she'll pick you girls and up and drop you back by 10:30. Don't make it late!" Mom said.

"Okay, Bye mom." I said and ended the call before she could say anything else.

I heard the door bell and walked towards the door. Seeing Rose in a 70's outfit smiling at me.

"Come onnnnn! We'll be late!" She said pulling me out of the house. "By the way, love the dress!" She said winking at me.

"Thanks Rosie, you look hot yourself!" I giggled before entering her car.

As soon as we reached school I could here the loud music. I quickly got out of the car with Rose waving bye to her Mom and walked towards the Gym where the dance took place.

We entered the hall seeing everybody dancing to all rock and roll, 70's music. Some people standing in the corner having fruit punch. Some people making out towards the other side of the gym. Jeez, couldn't they find any other place?
