Chapter 7

Chapter 7

 The sunlight shining through the window, lighting and warming my face, made me flutter my eyes open and stretch around a bit.  I yawned and pulled myself out of the covers. Obviously I was still sleepy, yet I managed to sit up.

Last night was a lot of fun. Kendall is amazing, and hilarious, not to forget that.  

I smiled at the memories; all the dancing, laughing, and the carelessness between us.

I ruffled my hair around a bit, and realized I was still wearing last night’s clothes. With that, I stood up and headed for the bathroom, but paused noticing that Danielle wasn’t in the room. That’s when it snapped, my eyes opened widely as my thoughts settled in that today was the day of the concert. She was probably with Liam, and I’m probably not going to see her until tonight. “Whole day to myself” I thought, and went to the bathroom. I stripped off my clothes and kicked them onto the corner, took off all my jewelry, thinking how on Earth was I able to sleep with them on.

As I stepped into the shower, the water was not too cold, nor too hot. It was perfect. I went through a little schedule in my head, with all the things I could do today as I worked the shampoo into my hair. I could tell today would be a nice day.

All clean and out of the shower, I put on a pair of black skinny jeans, a cream colored blouse with black hearts on it, black side bag, and a pair of cream colored pumps. Usually, I don’t wear heels with my outfits. But since today is starting off well, I want to dress nicely, who knows. Maybe I can turn a couple of heads. I headed off towards door, but the vibration of my phone ticked me off. “Oops, almost left it” I thought to myself.

It was a text from Dani.

Yup, she was with Liam.

Danielle: Hey love! I’m with Liam today, hope you got up already. You slept like a pig. See you in the concert. :) Xx

I read the text, shoved the phone in my back pocket, and opened the door.

The long hallway was empty as always and filled with a warm light. It was at least mid-day.

In front of the elevators I pushed the big button that had a downwards-pointing arrow. Almost immediately, the elevator doors open and Kendall comes out, smiling at the sight of me. His next move, totally unexpected. A whistle at me along with a “Looking sexy ma!”. This totally caught me off guard. He probably noticed my eyebrows knotted together, since he just starts to laugh and says “relax, just joking.” along with a wink. “em.. ok.?” I say in between laughs. There is an awkward silence between us…. just us sharing smiles. “Anyways..” I say. “I’m going to go eat now. Wanna join?”  

Kendall frowned a bit. “I’m sorry I already ate..” He says. Day already ruined. “But, the guys are down there.” he adds. Never mind, not so bad after all. By the boys he means my brother, Niall, Zayn, Harry… “Harry” I think. Good chance to talk to him..

“See you later” I sigh.

He goes down the hall but suddenly stops to quickly turn around and prevent me from walking in the elevator with his words; as if I was about to run into my death. “Wait!” he yells. “Let me come with you!”   He startled me, but I just smile and nod, as I step into the elevator waiting for him to run before the doors close. 

“You are such a meany.” he says once he’s in.  “You didn’t hold the door for me.” he says while pouting. “Just checking to see if you were really coming.” I say. Kendall just rolls his eyes and presses the button to the lobby.
