The Wolf Cave

Colton’s facial expression didn’t change as she let go of him, finally turning towards me. I watched as her eyes slid down my body before a look of disgust flashed over her eyes. It was clear as day. I hadn't been given a bitch glare in a while, but she sure as heck was giving me one right now. I fought with myself not to give her one back because I had to remember this was Colton's fault. 

 “Who’s this honey?” She asked Colton sweetly, but I knew deep down it was anything but.

“Layla,” he answered her. I couldn’t believe how calm he was acting when this was such a disturbingly awkward situation to be in, “She was attacked at the club and lost her ride home.” 

She yawned and nodded at his lie, which he convincingly told. How many more secrets was he hiding?

“Babe,” she tapped him on his chest lightly, "you really need to stop giving out the charity cases.”

My mouth dropped open in shock, she did not just call me a charity case! I felt pure anger grind through my gears and I felt like smacking the face off of her. Colton cleared his throat in a warning, “Jenny."

She rolled her eyes and gave me a fake smile, “I’m sorry you were attacked.” She spoke to me like I was a child, her words loud and clear as if I was dumb or something. 

We were interrupted when her phone started jingling in her pocket, she took it out and her face lit up as she answered it quickly. “Hey Marie! Yeah I just got home now...Oh, I have so much to tell you!”

Jenny continued to speak into the phone as I shot a glare in Colton's direction. But I was momentarily stunned again when he smiled sneakily at me making my heart melt at the sight. How could he just do that? I was mad at him, mad because I couldn’t help but think that he was using me as some booty call whilst his girlfriend was out of town, obviously that's all I am to him. 

"Yeah, I’ll be over as soon as I have my beauty sleep,” Jenny continued, once again yawning, "god, I’m so jet lagged..."

After she said about a million goodbyes to her friend on the phone she hung up and twirled back around to Colton. I had a moment of despair. Why would a guy cheat on someone as gorgeous as her? What's happening to the world?

“I’m going to bed, babe. I have to be out of the house by eight. I’m helping Marie with her engagement party that we’re having in your club.”

Colton's eyes darkened, “The club is not open on Sundays.”

She rolled her eyes, “Yes but, it's the perfect sized venue and they're only be family and friends, Babe. Don’t be annoying. Daddy told you that you needed to keep the club open for events, you’ll rake all the money in then...Are you coming to bed? I’m sure your guest will be okay.” 

I gritted my teeth together at her fake and snarling smile, taking back my thoughts on why Colton cheated. It was obvious. She sounded like a spoiled daddy's girl. I couldn’t believe how angry I felt to be in this whole situation. I never get angry, I’m normally too bored to get angry at anything. I felt like unleashing my potty mouth on her, letting her know just how her baby was cheating on her with me. 

“Right,” Colton said and she finally left, walking out of the room and leaving me and him standing alone.

Immediately, I turned towards him and grabbed hold of the scruff of his shirt in anger, he was tall but I didn’t care. 

“You have a lot to explain you dick!” I whispered fiercely, my emotions spilling all over the place, but I couldn’t help it.

He took hold of my wrists and yanked them from his shirt. To my dissatisfaction, I turned to putty immediately from his touch.

“I know I do and I will, but just so you know...” he leaned into my ear and my entire body shivered head to toe from severe tingles, “You’re so damn sexy when you’re jealous.”

I pushed him away from me in disgust, “And you’re an asshole for putting me in that position! How dare you. What is this, swinger central? I am seventeen, not a play thing for your enjoyment!”  

He frowned because I really was angry. I was so angry I thought I was going to cry and I do not cry for no asshole, not ever again! Suddenly I felt arms wrap around my waist and Colton pulled me into his chest.
