It was late at night. Nobody saw a figure walking in the dormitory corridors. The figure had a black hood that covered her eyes so she was unrecognisable.
She crept her way to the Science Department center and cautiously tiptoed around the overwhelming collection of books. Nobody should see her here. She was pretty confident that no one would.
Her eyes squinted to find the book that she needed information from. Information that only exists in a place like this. Her fingers ran along the endless covers of books then stopped short at the sight of the title. She quickly pulled it down and flipped through its pages.
Alas, there was no new information. All that was written in the book was as she knew it. She bit her lip and slid the book back into its dusty home. She blended back into the shadows and nobody would ever know she had left her room.
Nobody would have known her too, if not for the telltale hem of her summer white dress.

Lavi woke up feeling stiff. He sat up heaving a sigh, his hands rubbing the sore side of his neck. He hadn't slept in such a bad position for ages. What happened last night?
He shut his eyes in concentration and voila, last night unfolded crystal clear. He has photographic memory, so it wasn't that hard at all.
There was a girl in white summer dress that came into the room, furious. She held a tray of yummy food in her hands. He ate them, of course. He had been yearning for it the entire day. But there was something in the dish that made him drowsy. Did Snow White drug him?
No, that wasn't a very Snow-White thing to do. But then again, it was possible, and he only knew her yesterday. Lavi sat cross-legged on his metal framed bed, eyebrows knitted to the center in deep concentration.
A knock from the door brought him to his senses.
"Lavi, open up."
Lavi unbolted the door and Bookman was staring at him.
"Hello, panda." Lavi joked. No sooner did he finished the sentence, Bookman kicked him squarely on the jaw and sent him flying across the room.
"You young fool."
"Easy there, Grandpa." Lavi says with a huge smile on his face. Why would his Grandpa come into his room this early in the room? If Snow White was still here, Bookman would have had a misunderstanding.
"You were drugged!" Bookman scolded him.
"No I was not...." Lavi denied, trying to maintain the reassuring smile on his face. He didn't do a good job by ending his sentence with doubt.
"I shall be the judge of it!" Bookman stormed.
He whipped out a leather skin revealing at least a hundred needles. Lavi's eyes widened at the sight of them. He almost forgot that his Grandpa was skilled in acupuncture.
"Yes I was." Lavi finally confessed. Bookman sighs and shook his head.
"Beauty is dangerous, Lavi. I hope you have learned your lesson." Bookman preached.
"Yes, Grandpa."
"If you do not heed my words, boy, you shall never become a Bookman!" was Bookman's final words as he left Lavi's room.
Lavi sighed again. When did things get this complicated?
