Jayton’s POV

Stepping out off f my bike onto the hot pavement I hurried up and strided up to the entrance. As I pulled the door open a hot pair of girls walked out of the store and stopped laughing when they saw me. Being a shifter we tend to be quite attractive to anyone, especially the human population. The one on the right, at smoking hot blonde with a great body, eyed me with pure lust then winked. I smilied my sexy smile before throwing my jacket over my shoulder, winking at them both and strutting inside. I’m about 6’4 with black-brownish hair, apparently since all the girls like it a nice body, and sea blue eyes. My hair color is important because it’s the color of wolf I shift into, me being a shifter and all. Among the femme wolves I’m quite popular me being the beta of our pack here in Lake Forest, California. We are one of the biggest packs in North America and when me and my friend Collin turn 20 I will become beta and he will become alpha. I'm 18 now and had just finished high school and Collin was 19.

“Hi welcome to Subway and how can I help you?” Lost completely in my trail of thought until that heavenly voice pulled me out of my daydream, but I couldn’t be happier. I looked up and say the most alluring set of forest green eyes with flecks of gold and blue in them. I could look at them all day… A loud popping noise snapped me back to reality again and I realized I had been staring at her for a while now. While I had been thinking I hadn’t even seen the line move up until this angel in front of me pulled me out of my thinking. Then I realized she had been snapping in front of me and I smirked at that. Feisty just the way I always wanted my mate. Whoa! Did I just say mate? My wolf inside me purred and I realized that this proved my theory. This green eyed woman in front of me was indeed my mate, and I couldn’t be happier.

I was very surprised by the fact that I hadn’t been able to scent her when I walked in, I must have really been lost in thought. Inhaling deeply I smelt the mouthwatering combination of roses and fresh lavender. The smell had me feeling like I was on cloud nine as I struggled to come back to reality.

It took me a while to find my voice but when I did I put on my voice that usually made girls knees weak. “Well sexy, I can think of more than one way you can help me.” I said winking at her.

She scoffed at me then shook her head and looked up smiling like she had a secret. She leaned in from across the counter that separated us and if we weren’t in public I would have torn it down for keeping me from my mate.

“Well I would have to take that up with my boyfriend and I don’t think he would approve… So I guess until then I have to help you with your order or kick you out because frankly you’re holding up the line.” I had only heard one thing out of that whole sentence and it was that she had a boyfriend, it already had my wolf clawing to get out to get the man you touched our mate.

Suddenly I forgot what I came here for so I simply said a tuna sandwich and sighed when she walked away to make it, putting distance in between us, though I loved to watch her walk away. She had a nice peachy ass and a great firm body with long legs. Olive colored skin that looked so smooth it had me aching to kiss every inch of her beautiful body and run my hands through her silky long black hair. Man, I don’t even know her name and she had this effect on me! She looked about 16 or 17 but i didnt mind she was mine and nothing was keeping me from here. She was definitely human but that didn’t bother me at all, I would love her unconditionally no matter what, even if the bond wouldn’t be quite as strong as it was when it is was with two shifters.

As I sat her watching her help the costumer after me as I paid for my sandwich I hardly even noticed the shameless blonde behind the counter as she flirted with me. Before I would have gave her my signature smirk and maybe get her number but now I wouldn’t even give her the time of day if she asked. Wow so much has changed in the period of about 10 minutes…
