“L-A-S-A-L-L-E! Animo La Salle!”
Ella cheered out at the top of her lungs as if she’s watching a live game. It was De La Salle Green Archers versus its number one rival, Ateneo Blue Eagles. And unsurprisingly, Ateneo ended up winning the game. “I really hate that guy wearing jersey number 15! Why did Kiefer Ravena just became so good in throwing three-point shots?” Ella mumbled after watching the game, and because of disappointment, she threw the pillow on the television then walked out.
By the way, I am Twink, unfortunately, I am Ella’s best friend. (Just kidding) It was this hot afternoon when Ella and I watched ADMU vs. DLSU basketball match. Since we entered college, we became sort of fan girls of UAAP. And because we came from De La Salle Lipa, obviously, we cheer for La Salle.
Today, I want to share my best friend’s dorky love story. It all started hating a guy she met once and all of sudden, falling in love with that same guy. It’s so dorky, right?

Ella stays in an apartment near our school. But she actually lives in Batangas City, so to avoid stress when travelling she decided to rent an apartment. She belongs to a broken family; she lives with her mom and her two younger brothers in Batangas City. Ella’s dad now lives in Makati City, in a condominium. But she is definitely a rich kid, a spoiled bratinella and a prima donna. Even they’re a broken family, she has a good relationship with her dad. By the way, her dad runs a real estate corporation based in Makati. And her mom owns the biggest hotel in Batangas, and a restaurant. In other words, they are really wealthy. But the reason behind why Ella stays in an apartment is her dad wants her to learn how to live independently. And surviving a semester without her nanny with her made her dad very proud of Ella. But of course, her Dad still can’t leave her alone. So Ricc, son of a bitch, son of her Dad’s best friend and her childhood best friend, lives a block away from Ella’s apartment, so Ricc can be able to check Ella every day, literally, every day. In weekends, Ella visits her Dad in Makati. Sometimes, she brings her brothers with her. And during long vacations, she stays in Makati a little bit longer.
CHAPTER I: The Meeting
It was March 23, 2012 when we graduated. We graduated from our National Service and Training Program, and it was the last day of our class, too. I actually left Ella alone since I went with my classmates. But fortunately, Luis, her new suitor asked her to go out, eat, watch movie— in other words, a date. But Ella went home early since she still had to go to Makati that night. And all of a sudden, something made her creep out.
