Chapter 6

There was rustling somewhere close by. Movement, clatters of objects being placed down or picked up. Sizzling and talking. An aroma filled the air.

“Too early.” Alison groaned shifting in the bed, pressing her face closer into the comfortable mattress. Spreading her limbs across the wide bed.

Just from that movement she could tell it was a king sized. Letting out a sigh she let herself drift back. Or at least tried, the talking and clatter noises were still going on from somewhere in the apartment.

“Andy.” she groaned into her pillow. Alison threw the dark black and grey covers over her head.

She inhaled through her nose and exhaled a moan. The comforter smelled absolutely explicit.

Then she froze. Her movements paused on the bed. The noise seemed to fade, all until it rushed back at once. Alison shot up taking in her surroundings. No room in Andy’s apartment was left with bare walls. She had made sure of that, just like she made sure all the bed sheets were the dark navy blue color of his bathroom material. And she sure as hell would have remembered the king sized bed. She jumped out of bed and realized she was stripped down to her undergarments.

“Stop drop and roll. Ah, no wrong panic tactic. Um stop. Breathe. And what the hell happened last night.” She felt like she was having one of those moments from the movie The Hangover.

Slowly and surely everything seemed to trickle back into her system. Last night her shift at the bar, the biker crew, getting alcohol spilt down her white top. The bathroom. Liam’s shirt, Sam leaving then Liam offering to help. Closing up the store. Skin to skin, finally leaving and then getting so tired in the car and finally letting the hum of the car lull her to sleep.

A sigh of relief escaped on an exhale. Alison let herself drop back down on the bed and ponder her thoughts. “He brought me home with him?” she asked no one, a little smile on her lips.

Picking up the scent of such a mouthwatering smell she stood following where both the smell and the noise was coming from, picking up his button down from last night on her way.

The island was full of foods for breakfast. From freshly cut fruit to cereal to bacon and eggs and chocolate chip pancakes.

Liam held the phone between his ear and shoulder talking to Seth while flipping the last pancake.

“You’re attracted to her more than your usual. You can’t deny that.”

Liam sighed shaking his head as much he could with his position. “I know. I don’t know why but there’s just something there, something I didn’t have since..”

“Vicky. You can say it man, it was two years ago.”

“Actually it was a year and a half. And you wouldn’t understand. I just didn’t think it was possible to even be curious. How am I supposed to handle this?”

“Just let things fall where they may, you never know you might actually get a good friend out of this maybe even a girlfriend.”

“You know I’m done with that,” he shook his head even though Seth couldn’t see it; he was now grasping the phone in one hand. “But...I guess I could use a friend?”

“With benefits, anyway, Reed’s kicking my ass cause your needing your girl talk. I have to go and show him how it’s done. I’ll let you hear about it tomorrow.”

Ending the call Liam shook his head laughing quietly at his friends. The last of the pancakes were slowly cooking in the pan, a few more seconds and it would need to be flipped.

"Aren't I supposed to be waking up tied to a chair? Mouth duck taped cold and shivering, wrists raw from the itchy rope. It's the telltale sign that I've been kidnapped."

Liam turned at the sound of her smooth voice. She leaned against his bedroom door frame, one of his shirts hanging off her shoulders revealing hints of what was underneath. 

The image just took his breath away.
