My breath hitched as I looked their pale, determined faces. Why are they here? How do they know me? I haven't been called 'Winona' in centurie. My chest to tighten. The tall muscular man took another step toward my direction.

"Winona," He repeated. I could feel my palms start to sweat.

"I don't go by that anymore." I breathed out. That name brings back too many memories. "My name is Jewels."

Something flashed through his eyes, as he nodded. "I'm Carlton."

"What are you doing here?" I finally asked. "This is wolf territory."

He smirked. "Oh yeah? Then what are you dong here?" Surprisingly, I wasn't annoyed or frightened. I was curious but calm as to why he was here. When he realized that I wasn't going to answer, he began to speak. "We were ordered to find you. You are wanted by the Ravnos Clan." He says straight forward. I blinked. Wanted by a clan? I don't know any clans. Why do they want me? Before I could ask, I heard a howl in the distance.

"Fucking werewolves." Someone hissed. I gulped.

"You need to leave the territory before you start something you don't want to." I hurried out, looking out.

Carlton laughed. "Picking a fight with the wolves is always fun. Actually," He began to walk around me, making me feel self conscious. "its my favorite pass time."

I ignored him. "Why does Ravnos want me?"

The smirk never left his face. "There's only one way to find out." I heard the fast, hard beating of footstep as behind me, my eyes widening when I smelled Angelo's scent.

"You need to go." I demanded, taking a step away from him. But it was a little too late. Angelo was already here. But he wasn't alone. He was accompanied by three other unfamiliar werewolves. I was immediately brought into Angelo's arms, much to Carlton's amusement.

Carlton's eyes were wide with excitement as he saw the interaction between Angelo and I. "Oh, mates I see. Haven't seen this in decades." He commented. Angelo glared.

"Off my land, vamps." He demanded, his tone sharp. I looked at Carlton. I didn't want him to mention the Ravnos clan or anything. I didn't know how Angelo was going to respond but I wasn't going to wait to find out. Carlton saw the plead in my eyes, and surprisingly listened.

"Calm your tail, mutt. We were just leaving."

With that said, Carlton and the other vampires began running to the direction of the border. When we knew that they have exited the territory, we sighed. Angelo placed his head into my shoulder and inhaled my scent. His heat was wrapped around me.

"What was that about?" What the hell was I going to say? I really hate not telling him stuff. I hate lying to him.

"They heard I was here. They wanted to see why. I'm a vampire in werewolf territory. Who wouldn't be curious?" I said, trying to get Angelo to buy my poor excuse of a lie. But it seemed that I was trying to convince myself instead of him. I didn't like this unwanted attention. I know this is going to bring trouble. No matter how hard I try to reach some sort of normality in my life, I never come close to it. Not one bit.

He snuggled more into my neck, making me lean against him and sigh. "When I didn't see you at the party, I freaked." He told me. Angelo freaking out? I snorted. "What?" He asked, and by the tone of his voice, I know he had a smile kissing his lips. I shook my head smiling.

It's been a three days since Rain's party. We haven't really hung out. I wanted to give her a little bit of space. Angelo and I talk to each other every night. Hes busy with pack stuff and training. I watched the snow hit the pavement from my bedroom window. It was a cold Sunday morning. Judging by how I'm feeling, I'm not going to do anything today. I just wanted to lay down, relax. Maybe even start painting. I haven't picked up a paint brush since school started.

Feeling a rush of excitement, I jumped up and walked to my art room that was across from my bedroom. The white walls were filled with splatters of paint. Maya and I had a paint war a few weeks ago when we first moved in. My metal easels sat in a row against the wall full of ceiling to floor windows. This was the brightest room in the house.

I opened my cabinet that was full of paint colors and brushes. I grabbed what I needed before placing them on a table near a plain canvas. I spent the majority of my Sunday painting in my art room. The only times I left was to make food for Maya. What I loved about painting was that I didn't think. I was relaxed and thoughtless. I didn't have to worry about anything. My focus was on one thing.

I didn't realize what I was drawing until I was done. Better yet, who I was drawing. I didn't know why I drew him. I drew him standing in the middle of a field of yellow daisies. He was smiling his goofy smile as he waved. His eyes shined as the sun settled in the background. He was happy, just like I remembered him. He was always happy in my eyes.

I smiled. "Who's that, Juju? Hes pretty." Maya commented as she hugged my side. I picked her up in my arms, her head immediately snuggling into my neck.

This was my father. The one who raised me. The one who loved me possible more than anyone else can ever love me.

We were quiet for a bit, just staring at the portrait I made of my father, until the door bell ring. I looked at my phone. It was 9pm at night. Who would be visiting me at this time? Angelo said he was training till late so it can't be him.

"Maya, I want you to go pick a movie so we can watch, okay? Go." I told her as I set her down on her two feet.

She smiled at me. "Can we watch The Little Mermaid, again?!"

I sighed. I should have seen this coming. "Sure, buttercup. Go." She squealed before running to her room to get the movie. Using my vampire speed, I ran downstairs until I was in front of the door. Confusion hit me when I smelled the familiar scent. I opened the door to see the pink haired girl.

She smiled a kind smile. "Hi! I'm Cassidy."
