The warning bell rang and I nibbled on my lip, walking forward. Jess continued to ramble on about something to Chris and me even though neither of us were paying attention. Chris was texting someone on his cell phone and my mind was wondering all around, but the number one thing was the teacher I had class with next.

Both kisses that we had shared weren’t as fresh in my mind especially with the other night and the two men. With seeing Dr. Pierce, multiple things were running through my mind all at once, but with Mr. Felton’s classroom just around the corner it was the main thing in my mind.

“So, what do you guys think?” Jess finally ended, making Chris and I turn to look at one another.

Chris had his eyebrows furrowed in question as he looked over at me, almost as if asking, ‘What was she talking about?’ I just shrugged towards him and answered Jess with the only answer that would make her happy…

“Definitely, right Chris?”  His eyes went wide in disbelief as I put him on the spot.

“Um, yeah, of course.” He mumbled, scratching the back of his neck. Jess’ face lit up brightly as she lunged forward and gave me a giant hug.

“Great!” She replied, turning to Chris to do the same. Jess pulled him into a tight embrace and just as quickly as she did, she was off and down the hall towards her class. Our steps slowed as Chris and I watched her retreating figure, waiting for enough space before we asked any questions.

Once she was a good enough distance away, Chris’s mouth opened, asking, “What did we just agree to?” I shook my head answering with,

“I have no clue, but whatever it is, we better start thinking of ideas to get out of it if it’s really bad.” Chris nodded, agreeing with me.

“Well, I’ll see you in Dance.”

“Yeah, see ya.” I mumbled, watching his retreating figure as well. I wish I had more classes with the two of them, this class the most of all. It was the worst one to deal with.

“Good Morning, Anya, would you like to join us? Maybe in the classroom?” I hadn’t noticed the bell go off even after Chris had slipped through the door of his classroom, which made me look like a total idiot in front of my class and Mr. Felton as I continued to stand just outside of the door. I stared at him for a few moments, I didn’t know why, but I felt like he was different today. “Would you like another detention Anya? Did you enjoy the last one that much?” His eyes gleamed with cockiness and hidden meaning that nobody else would catch onto.

He must’ve thought I had enjoyed our little scene last time.

Without another second wasted, I hurried into the room and took my seat. My cheeks were tinged a slight shade of pink, making me try to hide behind my hair as Mr. Felton took a glance over at me. I could’ve sworn he winked, but I shook it out of my head. All of the stuff going on in my life was making my mind play tricks on me.

“Since you all love to take quizzes so much…” Mr. Felton started sarcastically, we all groaned just waiting for the papers he had in his hand. “I decided to be nice today and just do a class warm-up,” He started to pass out the warm-up sheets, he continued saying, “since I know some people had a pretty bad Friday night.” just as he passed my desk.

My head shot up in confusion. Friday night was the night we all went bowling and then afterwards… My eyes grew wide in horror. Did he know?

“The soccer team sucks!” Some kid in the back, I think his name was Frank, commented.

“Thank you for pointing out what I was talking about, Frank.” Mr. Felton said, glaring at Frank before shooting another boy who was on the soccer team a sympathetic look. “Don’t worry. Next game will be great.” He told the boy after he gave him a sheet of paper.
