Wrapping my elongated teeth around another juicy neck of throbbing veins, I took a moment to sigh in satisfaction.
How any vampires lived with their weak human emotions getting in the way, I did not know.
Draining the last drops of blood from the walking blood bags throat, I sucked my teeth for any remnants and dropped my meal in the process of turning around at the sound of someone entering the alley way where I was, beside The Mystic Grill.
I had been this way for a week now and Klaus felt comfortable to let me loose. I didn't take this freedom for granted.
There was so much more to this life.
I understand so much more.
I read so much more.
I drink so much more.
I am so much more.
Spinning round on my heel, I faced the appearance of pure male perfection.
Black, bad hair. Devilishly blue, icicle eyes. The bone structure of Adonis.
Licking my lips seductively I waltzed toward him, a smirk playing on his face.
"Well, aren't I in luck." sniffing the air around him I smelt fresh blood, but I was left unsure whether it was from the kill I had just made.
Shifting so that he wouldn't notice the corpse, I stepped closer to him.
Walking my fingers up his chest, I noticed that sculpted nose scrunch up in curiosity.
He was adjusting his neck to look down the alley way, toward the corpse; so I acted quickly by laying my palm on his cheek, caressing it. Suddenly with immeasurable speed he rushed me, holding me against the wall by my arms, revealing his veined face and sharpened teeth.
Shocked for the first time in days, I released my own fangs and snapped at his face,
"Young one, you need to learn how to control yourself," looking down to his body suggestively, following to wink at me.
Grunting in annoyance, I could tell he was older than I by his strength, being just a week old meant that most vampires could out manoeuvre me,
"I thought you were human, it's not like I would attack an older vampire knowingly!" I exclaimed, this guy may be hot but he was so damn infuriating.
"Now, now, Red - mind if I call you Red? Yes, good - you're still a little mucky. Let me just get it," still restrained against the wall by his strong hands, he moved his lips down to the corner of my mouth where he licked a droplet of blood clean, "much better."
Sexual tension radiating between our primal natures, he pushed me closer to the alley wall where the corpse still laid prone. With no human emotion left inside, my instinctual carnal desires were loose, I licked up the length of his neck and followed to nibble at his ear with my pointed teeth.
"Red, I see you know how to have fun," running his hands up my shirt to the lace on my bra strap, he fiddled teasingly, "well, little Red, I know how to have fun too."
Annoyed at these ridiculous nicknames, I murmured into his ear, "The name's Annabella."
"Oooohh, little Red is feisty." biting onto his ear harder than before as a warning, he continued "I'm Damon Salvatore, and I don't do nicknames."
Laughing in a seductive manner, I stared into his icy orbs "Sounds exotic. Damon Salvatore." testing the name on my lips. "Italian?"
Clutching the back of my neck Damon kissed me deeply and with intimate pressure, pulling away momentarily "I think this is the start of a very beautiful friendship, Red." both chuckling at the inclinations of that comment we got back to making out at our accelerated speed.
The sound of scuffed boots on the rough ground at the entrance of the alley way tore my attention away from my captor, Damon.
Growling in frustration, Klaus pulled me away from Damon's clutches.
He seemed to always be annoyed with me, especially when I found an attractive man to nibble on, ever since he switched my emotions off.
Placing an arm around my shoulder, Damon looked angrily at Klaus and then hungrily at me, "Love, you stay away from this one, you don't know where he's been." snarling at Damon, I understood now that these guys must have history, Klaus had mentioned that he had business in this town.
By business, I assumed he meant killing to do.
And I now assumed that this Damon character was on his Hit List.
Damon spoke up with the self-confident persona he exuded, pointing at me "You're Klaus' Girl." I squirmed at his accusation, knowing it was true, "Turned your emotions off has he, Red? I'm starting to think that's the only way you can make friends now, Klaus." smirking Damon strutted off with supernatural speed.
Leaving me, with an angry Klaus whose arm had tightened around me, and with my emotions that battled with each other to feel something.
