That was Then & This is Now (Completed)

I was asked to post another chapter of this,so I decided 'what the heck?  Might as well please my fans.'  :D  So here is the next chapter everyone.  Enjoy!

I stood up shakily and looked back over at the door Dave had gone through.  I took a deep breath once again and exhaled.  I had to confront him.  It was now or never.

I slowly walked down the hall and to the door he had gone through.  I raised my hand,and before I could change my mind,knocked quickly on the door and stepped back.  I heard a lot of shuffling on the inside and heard a lock turn as the door was yanked open.  Dave was smiling when he answered,but when he saw me,his smile faded.  "Robin,what are you doing here?"  He asked,clearly shocked about my sudden appearance.

"Is this what you do behind my mother's back?"  I asked him bitterly as anger built up in me for what he was doing to my mom.

"I-Well-You see-"

"Shut up."  I said fiercely,and he clamped his mouth shut.  "To think my mom married the likes of you.  Who knows what the hell was going on in her mind when she said she loved you.  I clearly see she was being an idiot at the time,all because you played her.  You don't deserve her."  I then turned away from him,my anger at the boiling point and walked off.

Dave grabbed my arm and pulled me back,stopping me from moving any farther.  "You won't say a word,young lady.  I am your father."  I saw anger in his eyes,but also saw guilt in them at what he'd done and said.

I roughly pulled away from him and sneered.  "You are not my father."  I then ran down the hall and to the elevator as I pushed the button.  I looked over my shoulder at a stunned looking Dave just as the elevator binged it's arrival.  I turned to face him and said,"And you never will be."  Then I stepped into the elevator and left that dreadful place.

I drove back to the house in my Bug as my mind went over what just happened.  I had to tell my mom.  She needed to know what was going on with her soon-to-be ex-husband.  There was no way mom was going to stay with him if she found out he was cheating on her with another woman.

As soon as I got back to the house,I saw Alex's jeep already there and my mom's car to.  I jumped out of my Bug after parking it and ran inside.  "Mom,I need to talk to you."

"Robin,where have you been?  I was worried sick about you."

"I'm not the one who's sick."  I mumbled under my breath as I crossed my arms.  "Mom,there's something you should know about Dave-"

Just then I heard a car outside and turned to see the bastard himself.  I felt the anger in me bubbling up again.  I turned my back on him and walked into the kitchen.  I heard my mom greet him with a kiss and felt like I was really going to be sick.  I gripped the island table as Alex walked into the kitchen.  "You okay?"  He asked with a raise of his brow as he looked at me curiously.  I slowly shook my head as my mom and Dave entered the kitchen.  I sent Dave a death glare and he cleared his throat and looked down at the floor,avoiding my angry gaze.

"Mom,Dave's cheating on you."  I said right away before anyone could say something else.  My mom frowned at me and Dave still stared intently at the ground.  Even Alex gave me a suspicious look.

"Robin,what are you going on about?"  My mother asked me.

I lifted my finger to point at Dave.  "He's been cheating on you!  Can't you see that!?  I wouldn't lie about this,mom!"  I screamed at my mother.  "Tell her!  Or I will."  I threatened Dave.

"Dave,what is she talking about?"  My mother turned to face Dave as his gaze lifted from the floor and to my mother's hazel eyes.  He sighed and ran a hand over his face.  He didn't answer my mom and she started to back away from him.  "Is it true?"  She whispered as tears filled her eyes.

"It's true..."  He whispered as he looked down at the floor again.  Then a crack echoed throughout the kitchen as my mother's hand came in contact with Dave's cheek.  I just glared at him as he stood there,stunned by the slap.

"I can't believe you."  Tears trailed down my mother's face before she whispered harshly,"How long?"  Dave shook his head.  "How long!?"  My mother raised her voice.
