The Beast Inside of Me

Struggling not to lash out

Not to growl and yowl

Not to flee and hide

I put on my emotionless mask

And take off running

As fast as I can

Before I let myself go

Hurt someone

Or damage something

Stopping as I quietly move

Through the crowds, like air through trees

Slinking my self around them

Slowing my pace down

My anger under control

So as not to hurt anyone

The yellow-blonde hair

With dark brown highlights

Some envy it

I am someone not to be messed with

I am someone who can hide themselves

I am a cheetah
