Hey! I just joined Wattpad and this is my first story! As you notice it doesn't have a title...I can't seem to come up with one! If you read the plot and this chapter and have a suggestion, please tell me! I'd love to hear it! As you can tell from the amount on the site, One Direction fan fictions are plentiful...I'd like to point out all of my ideas come from my own head so please don't accuse me of stealing ideas! I promise I'm trying to make mine original! I'm hoping I'll at least get one or two readers that will like this story and read it... so please, if you are reading this, tell your friends about it! I'd love to actually have readers!<3 Also if there are any typos or mistakes please comment explaining it! I'd appreciate your help! I think this is long enough of a rant(; so I'll just say thank you to the people who read all of the rant and enjoy the first chapter!
Something about my sister being out of town gives me chills. That’s what always happens when she’s not home. I’ve have never liked the idea of being home alone, so I usually invite my best friend Olivia Blackburn over. The only reason I didn’t call her over immediately when Nicole left this morning is because it’s summer and there isn’t a good chance of any bad weather. Bad weather also gives me chills. This happens to be fairly ironic. Where I live, we get our fair share of terrible weather in the winter.
I live with my twenty-seven year old sister in a small house in Whitney, England. Just to make it clear, I’m not British. Neither is my sister. Neither is Olivia. We are all American, do not have a British accent, and we are just Americans in England. My sister is in business, and is particularly successful. I don’t know exactly what she does, but whatever it is it pays for both her and I easily.
I moved in with her when I was 15. Our parents got into a car crash and didn’t make it. She, luckily, could become my legal guardian, so I didn’t have to live in a foster home or anything along those lines. We’re extremely close these days, practically inseparable.
Whitney is right outside of the city of London. Our house isn’t that close to the heart of the city, except we live very close to this one big concert venue. It would come in handy, as many groups and artists play there, except Nicole and I aren’t really concertgoers. I don’t fully know how to describe this, but basically we just aren’t the type of people to spend our money to listen to something that we can hear through headphones. The only time that I’ve wanted to go to a concert is now. How fortunate. One Direction, only one of my favorite groups, is playing at MNS Arena. Tonight. Oh, how I wish I could be there.
I hear knocking on my door- Olivia! I swing open the door and I’m exposed to the humid night air.
“Thank God, Liv. I was getting scared. It’s nighttime! You’re sleeping over until Nicole is back, right?” I ask.
She’s like, “My little Holland, you’re almost teen nine. You’re going to have to live by yourself soon. And yeah, I have all my stuff because I assumed I’d stay here… even though it’s going to be basically two weeks. How in the world will I be able to spend all of those days with a loser like you?” She makes a goofy face.
“Idea no! And no call me Holland! It is Holly!” I annunciate and grin playfully. She comes in and plops her bag down on the ground. “Come on I wanna watch a movie!”
“I’ll pick the movie. You pop the corn.”
As you can tell, we talk a little strange. I’ve known her for too long. We reverse a lot of or words, like “teen nine” instead of “nineteen”, and break phrases down, like “popcorn” into “popping the corn”. We also talk in incomplete phrases or speak grammatically incorrect. We only do this around each other, but regardless, we’re weird. Get over it!
We’re halfway into She’s the Man, our all time favorite movie that we always watch, when there is pounding on the door. A little rude for a pizza delivery guy, I’d say, but whatever.
“I’ll get it! Pizza time! Olive get plates!” I spring up and prance towards the door. As I open the door it seems to fly right out at me, knocking me out.
Before I black out I see five male figures and hear a chorus of “Oh, crap!”
‘Oh, crap!’ is right.
