Family Bonding

A/N The answer to the last  question was Lupa which I know at least half of you got. Congrats! Now onto the important stuff: the story!

Thor is just emerging when the others make their landing on the upper deck of the Helicarrier. He carries Percy bridal style with his hammer clenched in the hand that wraps around Percy's legs. The black haired demigod is out cold, his skin pale and glistening with sweat. Even with the fading light a light red tint indicates that he is likely once again suffering from a high fever. Tony looks absolutely furious behind his Ironman mask as he looks upon his nephew.

Director Fury appears on the other side of the platform, glaring at his team. "What do you think you are doing?"

"We are taking Percy back now," Tony says through gritted teeth. "And then we're going to kick you're spy arse for kidnapping our family!"

"I can't let you do that." Fury says calmly. "He's a threat and therefore  must be contained."

This time, to everyone's surprise, it's Natasha who steps forward. "Sir with all do respect, we're all dangerous, Percy least of all. You have no valid reason to detain him. The reason you want him is because he's an unknown to you."

The two spies stare each other down, Fury determined and Natasha with her normal coldness, although there his a flash of anger in her eyes. Even she has come to see Percy as part of the odd little family they've made. 

"We are wasting time!" Thor booms suddenly causing Bruce, Steve and Tony to jump. "Friend Perseus needs medical treatment."

Tony is at his side instantly, moving quicker than he has ever before. He flips open his visor and slips off a metal glove. He lays his hand against Percy forehead, which is nearly as hot as it was before they gave him the ice bath a couple days ago. He curses. Then he notices that Percy is wearing a different shirt than what he had left in. Under the white fabric Stark can make out lines of bandages around his shoulder.

He wants desperately to confront the Director, but he knows that Thor is right. Percy has only recently gotten over being severely ill and it's definitely dangerous that he's already had to push his body so far. He leaves Percy in Thor's arms, where he will be the most comfortable. He motions for the blonde Asgardian towards the small plane they took to get here. 

He notices that fully armed men have quietly surrounded them. He raises his own weapons and points them at the dark skinned man. He speaks with deadly calm, something not the norm for his easy going personality. "I wouldn't that if I were you Fury. You wouldn't want to lose your ship so quickly after getting it repaired."

He spins around quickly and joins the others. He watches from the open door as they lift away. No one lowers their guns, but it is clear that Fury does not plan on giving the order to fire. The men's eyes meet and they rage a silent battle until the plane is too far away to continue.

When they finally get back to the Tower it is a mad dash to find the right medicine for Percy's fever and a sedative of some sort for the pain he is obviously experiencing in this shoulder. They take him to his room where Alicia quickly joins them. She hovers silently in the corner, only offering useful advice when they get a little too flustered. Steve has to admit the sudden glimpse at the girl's real personality is a bit unnerving. She is strangly in control of the situation yet she appears to do so little.

Finally they manage to bring down the fever and get Percy to wake up long enough to give him a boat load of pain killers.( Bruce suggested that the sedative may have been a bit too much) Bruce offers to stay with the teen and encourages the others to eat dinner, which they forgot about with everything that has happened. Alicia drifts over to the bed and sits by her friend's head. She turns on the Tv, some show called Supernatural that Bruce hopes dearly is a lot less real than Greek mythology.
