*Riley's POV*

"Ron hurry up!" I pulled Ron's arm as we walked up the path to the Hog's head where we would hopefully be meeting people who would be interested in learning defense from Harry.

Ron and I had gone to Honeydukes and were now trying to carry heavy bags filled with candies up the snowy path, "calm down Riley!" Ron laughed.

I pushed the door to the pub opened and saw very little people, I frowned what was Hermione thinking? We could be overheard easily in here. "well, this is different I suppose."

Ron nodded as we walked over to where Harry and Hermione sat drinking butter beers, I handed Harry some of my sugar mice and took my seat beside him as people began to arrive and crowd around us.

After twenty minutes of waiting for everyone to arrive and take their seats we began with an awkward hello. Fred and George sat towards the front and Fred smiled at me excitedly, mouthing that he had something to show me when we were alone.

"You all know why we're here, we need a teacher—a proper teacher. One who's had experience fighting dark arts," Hermione started.

"Why?" Zackary Smith stated.

"Because you-know-who is back you toss pot," Ron growled back at him.

"Where's the proof?"

Harry stood, "I'm not going to talk about Cedric, so if that's why you're here then get out."

"Is it true you can produce a patronus?" Luna Lovegood asked.

Suddenly the room was filled with comments about all of Harry's previous accomplishments up until last year. "Its all great when you say what everything that's been done, but I did it with just luck. In real life, you don't know what its like to watch your friend die...its not like school where you can start again."

We all nodded silently, "he's really back?" Nigel said quietly.

Harry looked away and nodded, soon everyone was signing the piece of paper Hermione had provided that let us know who was a part of what we were going to name Dumbledore's army.

I ran to Fred's side when the meeting was over and grabbed his hand, "hello love."

Fred pulled me into a hug, he was wearing the scarf and hat I had made for his birthday last year, the snow was falling steadily and some flakes landed on his eyelashes as he blinked. One thought ran through my mind over and over: Fred Weasley was a very handsome guy and I was so happy that he was mine.

"I got you a present," Fred beamed.

I blushed, "you really didn't have to."

Fred nodded, "yes I did love." He pulled out a small long box and I pulled out a black quill that had flecks of gold in it, "It's not much but I thought you could use a new one." It was a beautiful quill and I looked up at Fred and thanked him as we walked back to the castle with the others. "It reminded me of you, it's just as beautiful," Fred whispered in my ear as we ascended the stairs.

*Riley's POV*

After the meeting in the Hog's head I helped Hermione pass out the galleons she had made to the people on the list, stating to keep them close by so that we could say when the first meeting would be through them. I ran to choir practice one day and was paired with Jennifer Messing, she was a sixth year Ravenclaw who was a very good singer, I respected her so much that I was nervous for even trying to say one thing that needed work. She was almost a foot taller than me with strawberry blonde hair that fell to the middle of her back.

"personally I loved it!" I stated as she smiled, "I guess just the pianos and fortes are what you need to watch?"

She nodded thoughtfully, "that song wasn't my best so I'll practice them."
