Some say that it takes more energy to worry than to believe, but what if you believe and you get hurt? Then you are stuck spending energy picking all the pieces of your life up and sewing them back together. Not using glue for you are afraid it will shatter into a million pieces just by breathing, so you wait. You take the time to worry so you can't be broken.

I took a deep breath, smelling the roses even though they were 6 feet away. I looked up to the clear blue sky and back down to the ever patient princess. She had just asked me to participate in dating her brother for 6 maybe 7 weeks and then possibly marry him. It was a lot to take in. I was worried that I would be judged by all the other princesses because I wasn't royal.  What if Prince Whittaker looked at me with disgust? What if the King and Queen wouldn't allow it? What if I get my hopes up all for nothing?

"I'm not exactly... Royal." I peered up at her with a worried expression on my face. I was so afraid of being shot down that I forgot my main characteristic. Bravery. I had been sky diving and cliff climbing. I had ridden a wild boar, and yet I was afraid to be shot down by a princess.

"I know. That's what makes you a perfect contestant!" She smiled at me, her eyes twinkling. I could tell why every boy was lusting after her. She was so kind and beautiful and when she did something, she went all out. "What do you say?"

I looked at her with hesitancy and took a deep breath. "Yes." Princess Arlie squealed in delight. She flung her hand towards mine and grabbed it, pulling my towards the castle. I had to practically sprint to keep up with her and she was just walking at a medium-fast speed. Curse my short legs.

When we arrived at the palace it was hard to keep my mouth closed. It was so beautiful. The tall vaulted ceilings, stained glass windows, polished floors, and royals. It was breath taking. I spun around in a complete circle and I couldn't find a single flaw or anything out of place, except for me. I immediately looked down at my clothes, my $300 boyfriend jeans looks like rags compared to the beautiful dresses everyone was wearing.

"Princess Arlie?"

"Yes? Oh, and you don't have to call me Princess Arlie. Just call me Arlie."

"Is there a chance that I would be able to get more elegant type clothing? I look cheap compared to everyone else." Arlie gave me a reassuring smile and dragged me up three staircases. When we finally got to a door that was hallways away from the castle entrance, she opened up the room to reveal a bedroom. Just as the rest of the castle, this room was just as flawless.

"This will be your room. Your custom wardrobe will be in that closet over there by tomorrow. A seamstress will come take your measurements in a little while." Arlie pointed over to the end of the room to a set of double doors and left. I walked curiously over to them and opened the doors up. Inside was a walk in closet that was about as big as my hotel room in the city. It was completely empty. I walked back out of the closet and grabbed my camera, which I had laid on the king sized bed.

Behind me there was a soft knocking sound on the door.

"Come in!" I yelled. In walked a young girl no older than 12. She seemed very shy and almost scared to say something to me.

She handed me a pile of cloth and ran out saying, "Dinner will be in 20 minutes."

I lifted the pile of cloth to reveal a stunning dress. I walked over to the floor length mirror and held the dress up to my chest. It looked a little bit long but I could ask Arlie for a pair of heels.  I quickly stripped down to my underwear and lifted the dress over my head and let it fall in place on my body.

It looked amazing. The cream colors looked great against my dark brown hair. I quickly did a waterfall braid and nude makeup. Then, I walked out the door barefoot looking for Arlie's room. I bumped into the young servant girl again and asked her where Arlie's room was and she shyly led me to it and ran off.  I was about to knock on Arlie's door when a deep voice sounded from behind me.

"Well, well. Who do we have here?"
