The Tutti Fruity Series

A Quick Note From The Author

So, I have recently come up with more of an abstract idea. I know, you may be running away right now, but I promise you it's not too much to handle! Let's just start off with stating the obvious; I'm weird and I go around looking on photo sites for inspiration. Normally I find nothing that truly inspires me to begin a huge project or even to write, but today, I found this series by Cristina Otero (you can find her on deviantart.com as Senju-HiMe). Now, this series was entitled Tutti Fruity and it got me thinking about a new series idea where the characters are all based off of a piece of fruit. (the name, the characteristics, even the color).This is basically turning each fruit into a girl with different "teenage" issues. These issues are all depending on their type of fruit [e.g. color (this dictates personality type), outside vs. inside, when it's in season, what it tastes like, what it looks like, etc.]. I know, this may sound a little crazy, but I think that with a lot of research it could turn into something really great. Now, this series is going to take months and months of preparation, but I have decided to post this to end/diffuse any confusion about my intention and idea. I've started off by making each girl/fruit a separate cover. Now, I am slowly doing research, one fruit/girl at a time.
I hope you will take the time to come back to this in a few months and read what I will have put up so far. I am also thinking about entering this series into the 2012 Watty Awards. I've never entered them before, so much encouragement is appreciated and will be returned.
In the meantime, could you please tell me what you think of this idea and of the cover and banner that I have posted. It would mean the world to me!
