I couldn't believe I had survived the day at school. Amelia and our new friend, Eddy, wouldn't stop teasing me all day long.

I walked from school toward home, alone this time, because Amelia had to do some girly things, such as shopping, and some other things. And Eddy didn't live in the neighborhood. I opened the door without any noise and I walked up to the stairs.

"Where are you going, young man?" a stern voice coming from the living room asked me. I silently cursed myself and entered into the living room.

"What do you want, Mum?" I asked, giving her a dead glare. I was still mad about her comment; it fucking hurt!

"We need to have a serious conversation about you. You know you can't stay like this; you have to do something about it. Now," she told me in an authoritative voice.

"Stop that. I am fine, and you know it," I said in a low voice, as I gave her a menacing glare.

"Alright, I will leave you alone, I don't care anymore. But you will feel guilty for hurting people, you will see!" she yelled, before leaving the living room. I stared at the air space she had vacated for a few seconds, shocked by her reaction. She never yelled like this, not to me.

I took my green vest and decided to visit Amelia and Arthur. As I walked, I couldn't help but think about the things she had said to me. Would it really hurt people that much if I ended up dying?    Well, my parents would be sad, that's for sure.  Amelia? Maybe at first, but she will make other friends easily. She's a wonderful girl. Arthur? He will be hurt during a few moments, because we were together, but he's young, and as much as it hurt to say this, he will find someone who accepts him for who he is sooner or later. Someone who isn't me.

I sighed; I was already in front of the door. I knocked, waiting patiently as I tried to stop thinking about that stupid conversation. I should be happy; I would be with my boyfriend soon!

"Oh, hello Michael! I hope you're fine, come in please!" their mother said with bright eyes, as I entered into the house. A smell of freshly-baked bread wafted around the rooms, mixed with something like... hot chocolate? It smelled delicious.

"Amelia is in her room right now. Do you want to stay for dinner? I'm preparing my special recipe," she offered, looking me in the eyes while giving me a gentle smile.

"Yes, it would be a pleasure," I answered politely and gave her a small smile. She nodded and went into the kitchen, as I made my way toward the bedrooms. I didn't know why, but I always felt better here than at my house.

I made my way toward Arthur's bedroom, silently praying for him to be there. I entered without knocking. He was lying down on his bed, his eyes were half-closed and he had a book on his lap. I sat next to him and bent over to give him a little peck on the lips. He mumbled something incomprehensible but didn't wake up. I giggled and began to kiss his neck, licking it occasionally. Suddenly, he opened his beautiful blue eyes, and he glared at me for a moment, confused to see me. Then an enormous smile made its way onto his face. He hugged me and pecked my lips.

"It's great to see you... I missed you, you know," he whispered with this baby voice that I love more than anything.

"I missed you too," I whispered, looking at him right in the eyes. I made sure not to speak too fast so he could read my lips.

He smiled and kissed me, as one of his hands made its way to the end of my back while the other was in my hair. I licked his lower lip and pulled him closer. I tried to hold back a moan when his hot tongue entered my mouth. After a few minutes, I pulled away because I was out of breath, we were both breathing heavily. Arthur looked at me with a smirk, and then began to nibble on my earlobe.

"No...God..." I said, knowing he couldn't hear me. I bit my lips as I was trying to suppress another moan and I pushed him away.

He looked at me strangely before raising an eyebrow; he seemed confused about my reaction.

"It just that... It's my soft spot and... No... With this thing, I could end up doing anything..." I mumbled with a slight blush on my cheeks. I'm so intelligent, I just told him I could do anything if he nibbled on this spot- which is kind of true - and it seemed he liked this confession, because he smirked at me before giving me a peck on the lips.

"Good to know," he whispered, before laughing silently.

I knew that Amelia told me that he didn't like speaking to people, because as he can't hear his voice there's a lot of words he can't pronounce correctly. But his baby voice when he spoke or whispered was just so cute. I could listen to it for hours! Seriously!

"I don't want us to be intimate too fast... I... I want a real relationship you know?" Arthur whispered. He looked me in the eyes, his own eyes shining with hope. Hope about our future.

I smiled and kissed him, and then we laid down on his comfy bed. My head was on his chest, and I could hear his heartbeat while he was playing with my curls. I loved this.

"DINNER'S READY!" I heard his mother scream from downstairs.

"Hey, your mother just called," I whispered with a small smile, as I took his hand while watching his perfect face.

We walked downstairs and sat around the table, Amelia entered the kitchen a few minutes later just as their mother put the meal in the middle of the table.

"What are you doing here?" Amelia asked, looking suspiciously at Arthur and me.

"Didn't you come to see Amelia?" their mother asked me, raising an eyebrow. She also had a confused look in her eyes.

"I came here to see Arthur..." I mumbled, as a slight blush appeared on my cheeks.

"Oh," was her only answer as she began to fill the plates. I didn't know what it was, but it smelled and looked delicious!

"It's one of my specialties," explained the woman. "This is bread, with vegetables in it, like carrots and radishes. All of it is covered in dark chocolate; it may not look healthy, but it is!" she said with a proud smile.

Once everybody had food on their plate, we began to eat. It was really good, so good that I was surprised. With my free hand, I was holding Arthur's free one under the table, giving him sweet glances from time to time. His mother was looking at us strangely, surprised to see us like that. I wouldn't be surprised if she knew we were together!

But even though the meal was delicious, even though I was having a wonderful time with Arthur and his family, I couldn't help but think about the conversation I had had with my mother. The words Arthur told me in his bedroom were also on my mind. He wanted us to be together, he wanted to have a real relationship, and he wanted us to have a future...

Should I tell him -and Amelia- that I'm sick? Was I ready to shave my hair, one of the things that I loved the most on Earth, to try to save my life and live a happy story with Arthur?
