"SHOTGUN!!!" I screeched as I sprinted towards my father's car. The twins and the oldest boys piled into a car on the other side of the parking lot. Cody passed right by my failed attempt of a running fast and ended up on the passenger side of my dad's old truck.
He gave me a cocky grin as I came up behind him, out of breath. I was definitely not going to let him win.
I tried my best to give him a playful punch on the shoulder but he just snickered, "You punch like a girl," I tried to punch him again without hurting him and this time he faked hurt and spoke to me in a dramatic tone, "Ouch, Savannah! Why would you hurt me like that!" I rolled my eyes and jumped in the back of the truck feeling defeated.
Carson and my dad walked up behind us, looking at us like we were idiots. Once my dad spotted Cody leaning against the right car door acting as if he just won the lottery he immediately piped up, "Youngest in the back!" I tried to keep from bursting out laughing.
Take that, Cody.

As we pulled into the shopping center I had a difficult time refraining from gaping. It was absolutely beautiful. Yes, I had shopped here many times when I was a kid but I haven't gotten the chance to in years.
Different colors illuminated every store. Puddles were reflecting the beautiful lights giving the scene more depth. The road resembled a dance floor. This was the main reason why I had always loved shopping here, the light show.
Almost every parking spot was full. Expensive vehicles and limo's lined the area. This was definitely a rich town.
Many celebrities and icons lived in the area because of the movie business. That is why there were so many amazing restaurants here. The one we were visiting was the Melting Pot.
This is going to be amazing. Was all that I could think as we rolled into a parking spot.

An hour later I had fallen in love.....
With chocolate covered strawberries.
I grabbed my skewer that was covered in different types of cheeses, chocolates, and anything else that could be melted. I was in absolute heaven. My skewer dug into a strawberry then hovered above the two different chocolates. I frowned.
Which should I choose? It was as if this decision would effect my whole life. Even though it was just a choice between regular chocolate and the chocolate-caramel kind. My internal battle was interrupted by a hand stealing my skewer.
"Hey!" I protested as my dad dipped the berry into the chocolate-caramel and then stuffed it in his mouth. If glares could hurt, mine would kill. He almost spit up the remains of what should've been my delicious dessert when he saw my expression.
My eyes shifted down to the huge plate where various different fruits were carefully placed. Pineapples, bananas, apples, where are all of the strawberries? I was literally about to cry.
My obsession with strawberries started when I was a child and skyrocketed when I discovered them with a blanket of chocolate. Any girl on her period would be in love. Me, being me, loved chocolate at any time of the month.
A gentle, warm hand was placed on my shoulder. I looked to my right to see Cody, smiling. I gave him a questioning look. His free hand brought a beautiful strawberry into my view.
A huge grin swept across my face. "Thank you-" I mumbled but he pulled his hand back. My eyebrows raised, by this point I was ignorant to the fact that everyone could very well be staring at us. All I was focused on was getting that strawberry.
My inner child, yet again, came to the surface as my arm leaped towards his. He pulled back, even further. After a few seconds of stumbling I decided to surrender and slouch back down in my seat.
