We're sitting inside one of the small, silky tents. There's a small table in the middle of the tent, me and Shayne are sitting on one side with Turgon and Elerossë on the other, there has been complete silence, but I hate silence so I speak.
''Before I can even think of staying in this tent with you, I need to know what you are and why you're in this forest''.
''Why shouldn't we be in this forest?'', Elerossë asks.
''Why? because I need to know weather I'm going to kill you or not'', I reply.
''Very nice'', Elerossë chuckles.
''I can't take any risks, are you going to tell me then?'', I ask.
Elerossë thinks for a moment and then nods.
''Very well, but before you ask, no, we're not vampires, see?'' Elerossë says as he opens his mouth and points to his canines, they're not long and pointed like a vampire's, they're still sharper than human canines but they're not as...evil.
''Well that's a good start'', I smile,''continue''.
Elerossë smiles and then clears his throat.
''I'm sure you know of the legends, when Vampiris created the vampires, her doers of evil, and that they murdered and harassed mankind until the 'wolves', like you and your friend arrived'', Elerossë begins.
I nod as a sign that I'm following.
''Well...that isn't entirely true. Vampiris created the vampires, but not alone, she was aided by her older brother Vampiron, a fellow god, but he wasn't as dark as her, he didn't know of his sister's intentions, he didn't know that she was bent on the destruction of mankind and when he found out, he tryed to talk her out of it, with no success. Vampiron couldn't convince his sister to stop so when she created her minions, Vampiron created his warriors, the Vilion, a race of non human beings that were based on the vampires deign but were created to aid humanity, to fight their dark brethren and to ensure that Vampris will never have the victory she so desperately desires'', Elerossë explains.
I look over to Shayne who is oddly eyeing Turgon and then look back to Elerossë.
''So...you're a Vilion?'', I ask as I finish processing all of the information.
''Yes'', Elerossë smiles.
''So are there any others?'', I ask,''or is it just you two?''.
''There are more of us, but we dwindle in numbers. There was a time when humanity was safe, when the Vilion held back the vampires, but we became blind, over confident, foolish. We allowed the vampires to come closer and closer until they were so close that they could slit our throats in our sleep...thousands of us died, we were forced to run, to abandon the humans, to go into hiding, and since then the vampires have reigned, well, until your kind arrived'', Elerossë says, he has a soft sorrow in his voice followed by a bitter scowl.
''So where are the others?'', Shayne asks as he releases his gaze from Turgon.
''They're still at the monastery'', Elerossë says, snapping out of his sorrowful tone.
''What's a monastery?'', Shayne asks.
Elerossë chuckles and then when he notices the confused look on Shayne's face he returns to his normal look.
''A monastery is like...a temple, a place of worship, or for us, a home. Our monastery is the home of the order, the place where we live, where we sleep, where we pray to our father Vampiron. It's the sight where the Vilion thought the Vampires for the control of the forest, the place that we only just repelled the vile beasts of Vampiris''. Elerossë explains.
''Like a sanctuary?'', I ask.
''Kind of, except, our monastery is not just a home, it's the base to our most sacred organisation, the order, something that every young Vilion aims to join, something that has lasted since the beginning of the great war, our monastery is a place of worship, and a place of war'', Elerossë smiles.
''Through brazen claw and spear tip teeth the sword we hold shall shatter deep. Through shield and spear and the fire of our hearts we shall burn through the dark. With the gods of old and the magic they provide, we shall fight, we shall protect, for humanity, for the order, for the gods'', Turgon chants.
''What's he on about?'', Shayne asks.
''It's the saying of the order, the oath that all initiates must take'', Elerossë proudly states.
''So, why are you out in this forest?'', I ask.
''I've been looking for a band of Vilion scouts that have gone missing'',Elerossë says,''I shouldn't have let them wander''.
