Harry sat next to Hermione at dinner. They had Sunday Roast: Roasted Beef, Roasted Potatoes, vegetables, and Yorkshire Pudding.

Harry drank his tea as he watched the Grangers' chat. It was strange to have such a little bit of people at a table. He was so used to being with the Weasleys' with the whole family.  Yet, just as welcoming.

"...don't you agree, Harry?" said Mr. Granger.

"Oh -- er --" Harry started. He hadn't been paying much attention to the conversation. "Of course."

"Oh good," Mr. Granger said, chuckling.

"Er, I'm done. May I be excused?" Harry asked politely.

"Sure." said Mrs. Granger. "Heading to bed?"

"Yeah. I'm rather tired."

He changed into his pajamas before unpacking the last of his things. He heard a small knock on the door frame, and Hermione entering.

"Hi," said Harry, putting his socks into the drawer of their dresser.

"Hello. Do you need help?"

"No, it's fine, really."

"Okay," Hermione said, though there was slight hesitation.

"So, what do you want to do tomorrow?" Harry asked, after being finished at last.

"Well, what do you want to do?"

"I honestly have no idea."

"Of course. Luckily --"

"Wait, what was that supposed to mean?" Harry asked with mock hurt, but couldn't help but grin.

"Nothing. Just teasing, Harry. Honestly! Now what was I saying...Oh, we can catch a movie tomorrow at the cinema. They're doing a playing of The Children of the Corn."

"Sounds great, Hermione," said Harry. "Goodnight."

Hermione smiled, "Goodnight, Harry."

"Harry...Harry, wake up."

Harry opened his eyes to find Hermione peering over him.

"Oh good, you're up."

"Well, now I am..." He mumbled, reaching over for the night stand in search of his glasses. Once in his grasp, he put them onto his face.

"Well, we made you breakfast. It's bacon and scrambled eggs, I hope you don't mind." Hermione told him, smiling timidly.

"Of course I don't mind. Besides, It'd be a crime if I didn't like bacon," he told her, grinning.

Hermione beamed, and together they went downstairs towards the kitchen.

"Good morning, you two," Mrs. Granger greeted, setting down their plates onto the table. "Here, you go, Harry. Would you like something to drink? I could pour you something if you'd like?"

"Er, yes please. Though I could pour it myself, Mrs. Granger. Please, I insist." Harry smiled politely. "I'll pour you some too?"

Mrs. Granger smiled. "Oh, alright. Thank you, Harry."

He gave her a nod, "it's the least I could do."

He goes over to the fridge before pouring himself and Hermione's mum a cup of orange juice.

Hermione took a seat at the table, already have poured herself a cup. She grabs her fork before helping herself to her delicious, warm breakfast.

Harry handed Mrs. Granger a cup and made his way to his seat at the table, which was across of Hermione. He smiled, and dug into his plate.

Hermione smiled back, taking a sip of her juice. She didn't smile to be polite, she always wanted to smile whenever he did. She couldn't help it. He and her always had that connection, that special, special, connection. And she wouldn't trade that connection for anything else in the world.

It turned out she was staring at him, but Harry was too busy eating he didn't seem to notice.

Hermione's father entered the room, whistling cheerfully before giving his wife a kiss on the cheek and taking a seat at the table.

"Morning, sweetie. Morning, Harry." he gave them a nod and took a bite of his scrambled eggs. "Hun, do you have the newspaper?"

As Mrs.Granger passed by, she handed him the newspaper. "There you go, love."

"Thank you," and a kiss on the cheek.

Harry couldn't help but wonder, as he watched this all go down, if his parents would've been like this if they were alive.

He finishes up his plate before excusing himself to his room.  He was to shower and change and hopefully do something with Hermione soon.

After they had both gotten dressed, they talked to each other in the bedroom until it was time to head to the theater.

Mr. Granger had finally gotten off of work and was happy to drive them to their desired destination.

"Okay, bye! We'll see you soon, dad!" Hermione planted a kiss on his cheek and watched her father drive off. "Thanks for dropping us off!"

"Come on," Harry smiled, and they walked inside if the building.

Every now and then, Harry noticed a tug of his shirt and Hermione burying her face into him out of fear. He would smile, but he desperately wanted to wrap his arm around her and pull her closer ; protect her.

That's what they do, they protect each other.

"You sure you'd be able to sleep tonight?" Harry grinned as they walked out of the theater.

"Oh shut it, Harry!" Hermione said, giving him a playful slap on the arm. "Honestly! I wasn't even scared...most of the time."

Harry let out a laugh, and Hermione followed.

Hermione called her mum to pick them up, and as they waited, they talked about the movie as well as other topics. And as all that was happening, Harry realized he absolutely couldn't live without her.
