A Life Not Meant for Me

"Is this yours?'' the officier asked my grandma holding on to my forearm. "Yes, what did she do?" My grandmother asked the policemen. "She was caught trying to shoplift $800 dollar shoes. "Star, what were thinking" My grandma asked me. "I'm soooo sorry, officers, this won't happen again" She says sighing. "I hope not, stay out of trouble... Star" an officer said winking at me while my grandmother had her back turned. I was about to say something but my grandmother interrupted me. "Good day officiers, I'm so sorry again, I'll make sure this won't happen again" she said closing the door.

"Richard get down here" she said calling up the stairs to my grandfather.

"What Elenor?" He said coming down the stairs. "Star tried to steal $800 dollar shoes" She said. "What the hell were you thinking trying to steal $800 dollar shoes?" He asked yelling at me. The only thing I did was shrug. "You tried to steal shoes but the only thing you do is shrug" He said. "You know, I think this would be a good time to tell her" My grandma said. "Tell me what?" I asked standing up. "We enrolled you in boarding school" My grandfather says. " Before you say anything, just hear us out, lately you've just been a delinquent, we think this could help you" She says. "But I want to stay here, with all my friends" I said. "You have a facebook and you can make new friends and always video chat, there is all sorts of technology for this stuff" She said. "B...but..." I stuttered. "There is no buts, your leaving in two days" He said. "This is so unfair, how will I continue my therapy sessions?" I asked. "It doesn't seem like the therapy sessions are working, now doesn't it?" She asked me. "Its working, it is" I said lowering my voice. "How is it working! Huh, every since you've started therapy it seems like you've grown worser then you've already was, therapy isn't working, so we're out of options, this boarding school has to help" gramps said sighing and walking away with gram.

I just walked away disappointed I had to go to a stupid boarding school.

I guess this would be perfect timing to introduce myself. My name is Star Que. I know weird name, well my mom loves stars and they thought it would be wonderful to name me Star. You're probably wondering why I am staying with my grandparents, my mom is in prison and so is my dad. He raped children and women. I was one of them. But I really don't like going back into memories. So forget about it. I'm 16years old and I'm a brunette.

I was brought out of my thoughts by my cell phone ringing. "Hello" I answered without looking at the caller ID. "Hey Star, sleepover at my house with me, you, Paige, Lauren, and Diana, so what do you say babe?" one of my besties Riana asked me but I just call her RiRi. "Yeah, I want to enjoy one of my last days here with my bestes" I mumbled. "What are you talking about?" she asked. "Tell you tonight" I said. "Love girlie" She said. "Love you babe" I said hanging up.

I walked upstairs and pushed past my grandparents. I resented them for just shipping me off. I packed my duffle. "Stop" Gramps said. I turned around and asked "What?". "Where are you going?" He asked me. "To RiRi's for tonight" I said walking out the door.

I got in my car and started towards her house.

"Hey girlie what took you so long?" she asked pulling me into the house. "Long story" I replied. "Well we got time" Paige said expecting me to tell. So I told them the whole story about the police and grandparents shipping me off.

"What, not you can't leave" Lauren. "I have to Laurie, I have no choice" I said using her nickname. "I leave friday" So tomorrow is my last day here" I finished. "Well I'm going to ask my mom can I go to tthe school you are going to" Paige said smiling. "You'll do that for me?" I asked tearing up. "Yes we all will ask, we can't live without you" Laurie said. "You guys are the best" I said grinning like an idiot. "We know" they all said at the same time. I laughed and we all got into a grouped hug.

"Star wake up, guess what?" I hear one of my friends say. "Whaaaaaat?" I groaned. "We can go to the school, there were enough opening for all of us to join" RiRi said . "Really?" I asked jumping up and down. "I love you guys so much" I said smiling. "We love you to babe" Paige said.

I got up and took a shower. I had changed into black short shorts, a light blue jean button up shirt, and beige knee length boots.

I said bye to the girls and started to drive home.

I walked inside my room and saw a bunch of boxes in my room. It seems like they are eager to get rid of me.

Anyway I started packing my clothes in my suitecases. Then I started packing my shoes, electronics, accessories, and other stuff. I finally finished packing and labeling boxes around 10:00p.m.

I walked downstairs and grabbed a leftover chicken. I ate that real quick.

Before I can go back upstairs my gram stopped me. "Is it true your friends are going to the school to?" She asked me. I nodded. "Do you want to take the private jet with your friends?" She asked me. "Yeah" I mumbled. "There will be cars when you arrive ready to take you and your friends to the school" She said walking away. "Sure" I said falling asleep on the couch.
