Elena POV

I was hurt. She really didn’t want to be my sister. I went to the field as Oliver was walking out. He hadn’t seen me yet and I broke out into a run. I was devastated. I hugged him tightly. He was sweaty and I didn’t care.

“Lena, what’s wrong,” he held me. I lost it and told him everything. “It’s okay. I promise. Maybe you should distance yourself from her. Give Rae time to think.”

“I’m not sure. She is my sister.  That would mean that I’d have to stay away from Fred and George.”

“Just think about it. Well sweetheart, I have to go get a shower. I’ll see you later,” he kissed my cheek and went on his way. I went to my bed to lie down. I thought back to when I met the twins.

It was first year and Rae and I got separated somehow. It was dinnertime. I was looking really hard and I bumped into two boys. They were twins.

“You look lost,” one said.

“I lost my sister. She was standing next me on minute then a mad rush for food came in and now I can’t find her.” I was on the verge of tears.

“It’s okay. We’ll help you look for her. What’s your name?” the other said. He had something about him that drew me to him.

“Elena Lupin. My sister’s name is Rae Black.”

“I’m Fred Weasley, the better looking twin, and this is my brother, George.” Fred was instantly my crush.

“Nice to meet you both,” I smiled.

“What does your sister look like,” George asked.

“She has pretty brown eyes, dark hair, pretty smile, and a little taller than me,” I described. George went off by himself and I went with Fred. “When we find Rae, would you like to join us for dinner?”

He smiled. “Yes, I’d like that a lot.” After about fifteen more minutes, I was tackled by Rae.

“So glad George here found me, I was totally lost,” she smiled.

“Well, they’re eating with us too.”

I skipped dinner and I stayed in my room thinking about what I should do. I knew I’d get hurt if I didn’t but I also would get hurt knowing that Rae didn’t want to be my sister. I decided to go with what Oliver said.

Hermione Granger, Harry Potter and Ron Weasley’s friend, brought me up a plate of food. “Thank you Hermione.”

“I thought I’d bring you this. I saw you missed dinner.” I barely knew the girl but I was touched by her gesture. I took the plate gratefully.

“I had a lot on my mind. Thank you.” I sighed. I ate and the plate vanished. “Would you like to join me at the Hogsmead trip next month?”

“I’d like that a lot. I’ll tell Ron to go with Dean. I need more girl friends.”

“I need more friends.” Over the next month, staying away from Rae, Fred, and George became easy. I ate with Oliver or I ate with Hermione, Harry, and Ron. When there was practice, I hung out with Hermione. We studied together and checked each other’s work. Rae was too caught up in Fred and George to notice my absence. She really didn’t care. I figured out that neither did my favorite twins. During class, I sat with Alicia. We also became friends. I cheered for Oliver, Harry, and Alicia. We sadly lost because a dementor had attacked Harry.

Today was the Hogsmead trip, my dad gave me some money. He told me that he and my mom saved some money for something like this. He had continued it for both Rae and I even after she died. He said there’s still some left for me and Rae has hers.

I picked this one shoulder dress. It went below the knee. It had floral theme to it. Hermione loved it. My dad approved. Oliver hasn’t seen me in it.

Rae walked in as Hermione was helping me with my hair. I had my hair pulled my gracefully. I never looked like this before. Alicia helped me with my make-up. “You look beautiful Lena,” Rae said. “You’ll knock him dead.” Then she went downstairs.

Fred saw me first. His jaw dropped which caused Oliver to turn around. He smiled big. I smiled even bigger. Oliver held out his hand and I took it. I waved good-bye and we left. I heard George say, “I didn’t know Lena was a girl!” I heard a smack and George say, “Fred! That hurt.”

“Lena, you look beautiful.”

I blushed. “Thank you.” We soon entered the Great Hall. The dancing started and we immediately started dancing as well.  When it came time for a slower song, Oliver pulled me close and smiled. He was biting his lip nervously.  “What’s wrong Oliver?”

“I’m nervous.” I was confused. Why would he be nervous?

“Why, Oliver?”

“I love you,” with that he kissed me. Fireworks went off in my head. I kissed back. That was my first kiss. I had fallen in love with Oliver.

“I love you too, Oliver.” We danced the night away while stealing kisses from each other. When the night ended, Alicia was the only one up. She had waited patiently while I was out. The minute I came in she rushed into the bathroom after me so I could change in to my pajamas.

“What happened?” she asked immediately.

“He said, ‘I love you’ and I told him I loved him too. We kissed and maybe snogged a little.”

“That’s so cute! I’m so happy for you.” She hugged me and squealed waking up Angelina.

“Bloody hell! What’s going on in here?” she demanded.

“I’m sorry, Angelina,” I said whispering. I meant everything that happened when the year started. “Can we try to be friends? I would really like it.”

She was silent for awhile. “You mean it? This isn’t some trick?” she was weary and I understood why.

“Yeah, I do.” She smiled genuinely at me.

“Okay. Now why was Alicia squealing?” I repeated everything to her. She giggled instead of squealed then her face got serious.

“I’m sorry for being so mean to you and making you stay away from your friends.”

“It’s fine,” I smiled. “They don’t really care about me anyway. Rae and I found out we have the same mother because my helped Sirius black and his girlfriend before everything had gone down. His girlfriend could have kids. So my mom stepped up and helped. So She doesn’t care.”

“I’m sorry, Elena,” Angelina said.

I smiled, “Call me Lena.” She nodded.

In class on Monday, I shocked everyone by sitting next to Angelina in my dad’s class. He had brought out a wardrobe and moved all our desks. We were going to face Boggarts.

It was my turn. My fear was snakes. I shivered. They were so scary looking and creepy. I pointed my wand and yelled, “Riddikulus!” It turned into one of those muggle contraptions called a slinky. Laughter ensued as Rae stepped up.
