Chapter 3

Monica's POV 

We were silent as we walked out of the school doors.  

"Are you mad?" I asked him softly feeling the tug at my heart come back. I couldnt loose Ethan I felt tears sting my eyes when he hadnt answered yet.  

"Hey babes why are you crying?" he asked pulling me into a hug.  

"I cant loose you Ethan just because I have a mate now doesnt mean I dont need you in my life." he pulled away just enough so he could look in my eyes.  

"Ill always be here for you, Niks. im not going anywhere just please dont cry" I gave a small smile trying to stop crying. We contiunued walking to his car. I completly overreacted.  

"Im sorry I just thought you were mad about me being with someone" I snuck a glance at him and noticed his jaw shut tighly. I wiped the darn tears off with my sleeve.  

"It was bound to happen right?" I lightly nodded my head. We got to his car and he opened the passanger door for me. His mate will be a lucky girl.  

"Are you happy with your mate?" Ethan questioned as he drove in almost ackward silence.

"I'm not sure I mean I dont know him that well" I glanced up at him again and noticed his jaw was shut tight again. What is going on with him?

"You kissed him though" his voice was straighned.

"I have this weird attraction to him" I whispered looking out the window watching the purple, blue and green lillies on the side go by.

"Yea I guess its part of the mate process"

"Ethan does it bug you that I found my mate" I finally asked I look at him. I noticed his nuckles were going white from clutching the steering wheel.

"Not at all" he whispered I could feel anger radiating off him.

"Like thats believable" I whispered turning my gaze to the window. He didnt reply so I let it go. He pulled into my driveway and I went to open the door but he pushed the lock down.  

"Do I need permission to open my door now?" I asked sarcastically. "You didnt give me my usual kiss on the cheek" I rolled my eyes and kissed him on the cheek.  

"Will you unlock my door now?" I heard the door unlock.  

I stepped out of his black mustang. 

"Call me later ok?"

"I will don't worry" He said as I shut the door. I walked in my house not prepared for the answers im sure my parents will want. Well here goes nothing I opened the door and sniffed the air. He was here, dammit.

Zach's POV 

I slipped her paper back in the folder. I put the folder in my bag. I got up from my chair and shut the lights off. I locked my classroom door. I walked out of the building liking the smell of fresh air. My wolf was urging to be let out but I held him back. I got to my car and drove to her house. I needed her dads permission first so there wasnt a war between packs. I knocked on the door and when it opened Dan, her father stood their looking at me. Dan was 6 ft muscular dude. He had brown spikey hair with piercing blue eyes.  

"Good evening Dan," I said formally staring at his bookshelves avoiding his concerned look.

"Is there anything wrong, Zach" he questioned studying my face looking for danger that might have came to his pack. Nope, just an alpha wanting his daughter, no biggie right? 

"May I come in?"

"Of coarse,come in."

"I found my mate and she happens to be one of my students. She's 18 of coarse but Im not sure what to do" I said finally looking in his eyes, they penetrated deep cutting my sole in half reading every lie i've ever told. I hope im not the one telling him were getting married when the time comes.

"It depends which girl Zach who is it?" Dan asked. Should I tell him? Would he be furious or happy for his daughter? I questioned myself wearily. I guess I have no choice.

"Monica", I said firmly. I watched him close his eyes and grit his teeth.

"Monica who?" he questioned bitterly.

"Monica Harris, your daughter, sir" I said wearily waiting for him to lunge at me, surprisingly he didn't. Im glad he didnt. That would have been a direct challenge.

"I see does she know?" he questioned even further closing his eyes.

"Yea, sort of" I said. Should I tell him about after class? Well here goes nothing.

I told him about everything that happened today. He unclenched his teeth and opened his eyes.

" I knew this day would come, although I figured it would be some punk , but I have to say you're good for my daughter" he said making my jaw drop, i forced some words out.

"Thank you sir, do I have your fatherly permission to be with your daughter?" I probed feeling my heart skip a bit at what he said next.
