Taking advantage of her current position her opponent, she didn’t know what else to call him, lunged, pinning her to the wall. Her feet dangled a good foot from the ground.

“You made this fun; I should thank you for that, but...” He slammed her against the wall, sending a wave of pain down her numbed arm. What a time for it to lose its numbness…seriously, can’t I catch a break?

“What’s with that face?” With his other hand, he roughly held her head in place by her chin, applying enough pressure to let her know he could easily break her jaw. “You know you are even more beautiful when you are covered in blood.”

A thoughtful look crept into his eye as he released her chin to run his nail down the side of her face, leaving a long bloody scratch in its wake, “There that’s better.”

Bloody nut job! Kat grabbed onto his arm and, using it as leverage, kicked upwards slamming the hard bottoms of her boots into the side of his face. He cursed, and grabbed her leg before she could attack again and with a savage twist, snapped the limb.

With a cry of agony Kat fell to her knees, forcing the tears of pain back, she couldn’t let him see her like that. He let her fall to the floor, sending a new wave of teeth rattling pain through her. He coldly looked down upon her, the black spider webs having totally covered his face. “I have decided that I am going to keep you. I love the way you scream/”

He reached forwards to seize a handful of her hair, turning about he threw her across the room. Prepared for the impact Kat let her body relax, it wouldn’t do much, but…anything to lessen the pain in her leg…

A solid wall caught her, when she didn’t fall she opened her eyes to gaze up into the ruby depths of her catcher. Sebastian frowned mightily but made no comment as he laid her down gently on the floor. “Miss Kat, I believe you have done enough, kindly allow me to take over from here.”

Sebastian seethed pure rage; from where she sat with the Earl beside her she could feel it. She had never seen him upset like this before…no upset didn’t even cover it, this was true rage.

The two men stared at each other for a moment, the inhuman eyes of the broker narrowed at Sebastian’s form, “You dare attack me?”

A cruel smile crept to the butler’s features, “Anything for my Master, I am a top notch butler after all.” After that Kat lost perception of the fight. Between her leg throbbing, the Earl squeezing her hand in an unconscious show of worry, and the sheer speed in which they fought, it was more than her pain hazed mind could take.

And they were fast; it was only seconds between each attack and counterattack. Dodges were totally out of the question as both were consumed with dealing the most damage to the other, dodging would only create an unwanted opening.

There was a sharp crack as the broker landed a blow that undoubtly broke ribs, a following crack was quick ensuing as Sebastian returned the favor. Both backed away from each other, breathing hard. “Your quite good, demon.” The broker gasped, “I must admit, fighting me physically and with your energy is quite a good idea. Would you like to feel my energy though?” He cast a quick glance in Kat’s direction, “Maybe your Master would.”

Again the hair on the back of Kats neck stood on end as she felt the energy gather around the man, she pushed the Earl behind her as she felt the energy surge. She closed her eyes expecting to be flung backwards with the force.

Instead there was a heavy thump, as Sebastian landed in a heap beside her. His eyes fluttered for a moment before shutting.

“No!” Kat screamed, as the broker laughed coming forward, cracking his knuckles as he approached. “Quite easy, actually, but it was fun, toying with you all.” He said, ignoring Kat’s frantic attempts to stand and fight, the pain completely forgotten in her leg.
